Play along

Damian pulled up the in-game menu and tried to quit but the option was faded out. She received an error message that read something like:

Unavailable - Complete the mission objective in order to access this option.

"Great."

Damian cringed at hearing herself speak in Starfire's typically overly jovial tone. She floundered out of bed and headed begrudgingly over to Kori's closet. What did she usually wear on missions anyway? She sifted through a few hangars seeing various different outfits, all of which were ridiculous and revealing. But she didn't have a choice.

Damian eventually settled on one since the alert seemed urgent.

"I feel ridiculous..." she looked at herself in the mirror. Her fiery hair fell passed her ass.

"Kory! Come on!"

Dick grabbed Damian by her arm and hurriedly led her out of the room.

She reluctantly followed him outside. There she saw a gang of villains and their goons attacking the Titans Tower. Chief among them were Red X, Grid, Blackfire, Circe, and Gizmo. Nightwing moved to take on Red X, leaving Cyborg to deal with Grid. Raven was exchanging magical blows with Circe and Beast Boy was combatting Gizmo. Superboy and Kid Flash were on goon duty, leaving Blackfire for Damian.

The structure of this level seemed pretty straightforward. A team of bad guys hand-picked to counter each of the Titans. All Damian had to do was annihilate Blackfire and get the hell out of this game. Easy enough, right?

"There you are, sister!"

Blackfire's eyes glowed a menacing violet.

"You have one chance to kneel before me as the true Queen of Tamaran on your own accord."

"I will never bow to you, sister!"

Damian found her mouth speaking on its own. Pre-scripted dialogue. Just like in a cutscene.

"You arrogant little girl, I'll make you regret refusing to rule by my side. You think your little human friends can protect you?"

Blackfire darted for Damian. Being trained by both Batman and the League of Assassins hadn't prepared her for fighting a super powered alien. At least, not in this way. Something told Damian that Kryptonite wasn't going to solve this problem.

Her unfamiliarity with her newfound powers left her a sitting duck. She was thrusted into the ground leaving a sizable dent in the concrete beneath her. The **** of that impact was enough to break her spine if she was in her normal human body. It sent a spark of adrenaline through her veins that caused her eyes to pulsate an emerald green. Fighting like an assassin wasn't going to cut it. She had to fight like Kori.

"Looks like your time on Earth has made you sloppy, princess!"

Blackfire threw a series of starbolts at Damian but this time she jumped out of the way, tossing some of her own right back at her.

"Get over yourself!"

Damian spoke freely, flying at Blackfire and throwing a barrage of starbolts at her. She juked a couple but the last one struck her shoulder.

Blackfire looked confused for a second. Like Damian wasn't supposed to act out of character. Then she frowned.

"Why you little-"
