Plans for the day

Lauren wandered out. Sure enough, her sister was waiting for her. And, as always, Vanessa looked amazing with perfect hair and makeup and a form fitting sundress and heels. Lauren couldn't remember the last time she wore makeup, or had her hair done. Heels? She generally had to work barefoot, much to the embarrassment of a short girl like her.

"There you are!" Vanessa exclaimed. "We've got a big day ahead of us. We're picking up David and some of the my friend's and going to the beach! Isn't that exciting?"

"The beach? What will I wear?" Lauren asked. "I don't have a swimsuit."

"Oh, I've got your swimsuit." Vanessa tapped her shoulder bag. "You can change there. Let's get going?"

Lauren wished she could stay home, stay at home, maybe take care of herself and take a nap. But no, she had no agency as she was once more dragged towards the front door...
