Plan B is bad news for Kyoko.

Shuichi sighed. "Plan B, huh? All right. I'm getting out of here."

That wasn't ideal for Kyoko, but she'd made her bed, so now she'd have to lie in it. Figuring out a way to get clothes herself would be better than sacrificing her dignity to Shuichi (on top of being **** to pay for his phone). She heard a metallic jingle coming from his direction and imagined he must have been fishing around for keys for the door. She couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "Shuichi," she whispered, twisting where her braid ought to be compulsively, having no way to keep it in place. "Did you forget this door's lock is a button on the handle?"

The other detective didn't answer, but he did turn back to her, then suddenly approached her.

For a moment, Kyoko thought Shuichi had cut her with the keys held like a weapon, before realizing she'd just barely been nicked. The cold sensation of metal remained, however, and she had enough imagination to conjure what he'd just done. She took the hand that had been at her hair off and moved it to the light chain again, yanking it in spite of her nakedness.

With the lights back on, it was just as she'd feared. Around her wrist, she found what the metallic clinking she'd heard earlier belonged to: not a set of keys, but a pair of handcuffs. One side was around her right arm, like a dividing line separating her gloveless hand's scars from the unblemished flesh of the rest of her arm. The other side was around Shuichi's own wrist. She looked into the young man's eyes, and saw him gulp. He was making an earnest, difficult attempt to keep his eyes locked on hers, probably to show both that he was serious and that he didn't have any perverted intention.

That didn't mean much to the woman he'd just shackled, of course. Kyoko looked into his swimming eyes with her own, which were only briefly wide with shock before resetting into an unamused, steely gaze. "This is your plan? You're going to keep me trapped with you here until I confess to being the perpetrator in your wild fantasy?"

"No, Kyoko." Shuichi shook his head, tilting his cap down. It was ordinarily a weak, non-confrontational gesture, but Kyoko recognized he was probably calling on it as a crutch for conviction. "Like I said, I'm getting out of here. You're coming with me. We're going to go back to the scene of the crime, and I'll prove you're the one who wore that costume and broke my phone!"

Now it was Kyoko who was on the back foot in surprise. "If you haven't noticed, Shuichi, there's a very big problem with your plan!"

Keeping his voice even and trying not to shrink from her, Shuichi stood his ground. "Th-that's your problem, not mine, isn't it? Of course, you could just stop pretending you don't know what I'm talking about, and I'll unlock your handcuff. I don't want to do this either!"

"Then don't!" Kyoko wasn't whispering any more, her panic rising as she saw her continued denial was only making her captor reach for the door. "Shuichi, hold on. Think about this. You don't have the authority to... lock me up and parade me naked around the campus, obviously. You could be facing serious criminal charges."

Shuichi had taken one hand off of his head to put it on the door, and he looked restless to put that hand back in its place of safety. "You're wrong about that! I was appointed Monokuma's detective, you see... I have total authority to detain suspects related to crimes on campus. If you don't believe me, the proof should be in the fact I even have these handcuffs as an amateur detective."

Kyoko was helpless not to laugh at the absurdity of the situation. She gave him a smile, as if they'd both been trying not to laugh and she was the first one to crack. "You have to be joking. Whatever else you are are, you're... a good guy, right, Shuichi? A servant of the public good? You're not the type of person that would drag a defenseless-"

She'd softened her stance to make herself appear less threatening and more reasonable. Unfortunately, Shuichi seemed to have been waiting for that chance. He threw the door open, stepped out into the hallway, then yanked his arm, forcing Kyoko to follow against her will.

By instinct, Kyoko tried to grab some purchase on the way out the door, but failed. She found her arms whiffing wide like she was hugging the air as she was pulled into the hallway. The bouncing of her bare breasts felt cartoonish and exaggerated in her awareness of her bralessness. By now, her bravado had vanished as the reality of her situation was dawning on her, leaving her jaw hanging open in a rare expression of disbelief. She looked around the laundry room corridor, half expecting a crowd to have already gathered for her public dragging. Of course, they were actually still alone... Mostly.

It was just then that she noticed Shuichi, who'd been determined to get back to the scene of the crime, had already stopped.
