Pinch yourself awake

You shake your head to prevent falling asleep and pinch yourself hard. You stand and look out the window, seeing the moon rising over the barn. You decide it's time. The farmer had more to drink than you, and should be fast asleep. With socks and no shoes, you creep out the door. Crossing the hall, you sneak over to Loretta's walnut door.

You can't decide what you want to do. Just walk in openly? Sneak in, hoping she's asleep? Knock?
