Pierre Dupont, L'Homme-Araignée

The story of L'Homme-Araignée (The Spider-Man) originates in Paris, a city where historical beauty is interwoven with the harsh realities of everyday life. In this world, our hero is Pierre Dupont, a Parisian youth soon to shoulder an immense responsibility.

Humble Roots, Extraordinary Spirit

Pierre Dupont is a quiet, reserved, and somewhat clumsy student attending a regular Lycée in a working-class district outside central Paris. He lives with his kind Aunt Thérèse and Uncle Louis. Despite his brilliant mind, Pierre often stays hidden in the background, avoids attention, and harbors a secret passion for photographing the city. He is secretly in love with Marie-Jeanne Watson, the girl next door who dreams of acting and singing in Montmartre's cabarets.

To‌ pay for his studies and help his aunt and uncle, Pierre works as a freelance photographer for "Le Clairon" (The Bugle), a sensationalist tabloid. Its editor, Monsieur Jean-Paul Marion, constantly demands pictures of Spider-Man and perpetually targets Pierre with condescension.

The Fateful Bite and the Birth of a Hero

On a scientific field trip to an advanced biochemistry lab at the Collège de France, Pierre is bitten by a radioactive, mutated spider. He quickly realizes he has gained incredible powers: the ability to stick to surfaces, enhanced senses (which he calls his "spider-sense"), prodigious strength and agility, and the ability to shoot organic webs from his wrists, a formula he quickly refines.

Initially, Pierre uses his powers for fun and profit in street wrestling matches, arrogantly thinking these powers are solely for his personal gain. This pride leads to his undoing. When a thief rushes past Pierre, he decides not to intervene. Moments later, his Uncle Louis is fatally shot during a separate robbery. His uncle's words echo in Pierre's mind: "A great power implies great responsibilities." (Une grande puissance implique de grandes responsabilités.)

This moment changes Pierre Dupont forever. He dons the red and blue suit with the spider emblem and becomes L'Homme-Araignée (The Spider-Man), a hero sworn to protect the innocents of Paris.

Battle with the Green Goblin: A Fight for the Soul of Paris

L'Homme-Araignée's first great challenge comes with Le Gobelin Vert (The Green Goblin). This villain is Norman Aubert, the charismatic yet ruthless head of the high-tech company "Aubert et Fils." Following a botched military performance-enhancing experiment, Norman is transformed into a crazed, powered being with a green combat suit and flying glider, soaring over the Parisian rooftops.

Le Gobelin Vert terrorizes Paris with focused terror attacks during public celebrations and national events, including Bastille Day. He discovers Pierre's secret identity and attempts to **** him to join his cause by threatening his loved ones, especially Marie-Jeanne.

Their final, climactic battle occurs atop the Arc de Triomphe. In a terrible emotional and physical struggle, Pierre defeats Le Gobelin Vert. Norman Aubert is killed, leaving Pierre with the burden of guilt and the weight of that sacrifice.

Love and Responsibility

Pierre Dupont’s life as L'Homme-Araignée is a perpetual struggle. He constantly wrestles with financial pressures, the harassment of Monsieur Marion, and the **** need to conceal his identity. His relationship with Marie-Jeanne is full of sweet moments and difficult challenges. He repeatedly attempts to push her away for her safety, yet their love proves fated.

L'Homme-Araignée becomes the symbol of resistance against crime in Paris. He battles not only powerful villains (such as Dr. Octave Léveaux, an outcast scientist with mechanical arms who lurks in the Catacombs) but also the everyday issues of the city, such as petty crime and corruption.

Pierre Dupont, L'Homme-Araignée, is a hero who carries his burden of responsibility with dignity and selflessness, facing the challenges of Paris every day, proving that even in a city of splendeur, the true heroes are those who sacrifice to save others, no matter the cost.
