Picking pockets... And everything else!
A sleeveless button-down shirt. A skirt that she used to wear to job interviews. Her running shoes, and of course, her underwear. That's all Sally had left in this world. All her belongings...
Well, that and enough knowledge to topple the most influential people on Earth! Granted, she no longer had... Concrete proof. But she'd written everything she could remember on a note in her bra! It'd have to do until she recover some of her belongings.
She'd managed to score a meeting with a government official! She just had to get this information in the right hands, then she could start rebuilding. It'd take the right impression, and a little convincing, but Sally could do this! She just had to reach the meeting spot.
Of course, without her car... Or money... She'd have to weave through the bustling city streets.
Sharply dressed men and women, likely on their way to work. Kids and teenagers running by. People on bikes, scooters, joggers in athletic outfits; Such a wide variety of people, and yet none of them stuck out in this urban jungle! Meaning that any of them could be thieves.
Sally walked at a brisk pace. She was in such a public place, she didn't want to think that she was in danger. But the sooner she could reach her destination, the better! She brushed past countless people who grazed her, bumped her...
And stole from her.
Buttons. Something Sally wouldn't even notice, but each one missing had a substantial effect. Her top now hung open, barely at first, but more and more as she passed by various invisible thieves! The same went for her skirt, which was now beginning to feel loose.
"Thirty-fourth street.." Sally huffed, running her hand through her hair. "God, I shouldn't have given up cardio. I'm still a good few miles-"
Two things happened in that moment:
Sally glanced down to see her shirt entirely open, with her baby blue bra and soft tummy in full view.
And a person on a bike practically flew by-- Yanking her shirt clean off, as if leaving it completely open wasn't bad enough! Sally stood there, stunned, as she'd lost one of her few remaining belongings in what felt like half a second...
