As Pia showers in the small shower stall, she begins to quietly sing and due to the combination of her singing and the sound of the water from the shower, Pia does not hear the footsteps approaching and then stopping right outside her shower stall.
As such, Pia is completely oblivious to the fact that someone is standing right outside the stall where she's showering and enjoying her singing.
