Phoenix house dining hall.

The dinner bell chimes and you end your nights studies. You look to your Phoenix familiar nestled in its new bed atop your wardrobe. Realizing you still haven't figured out what you should feed him. Should you try to save him some scraps from your dinner? Does he eat seeds? You really should have made time to speak with Mr. Lockman about your familiar. You decide to bring him a variety of things from dinner and see if he likes any of that.

You make your way to the dining hall. Finding it filled with other Phoenix students already. Tonight's menu is grilled steak and potatoes with a brown gravy and side of mixed vegetables. Same as the night before the short man takes your order and tells you to have a seat. Looking around the room, you see many students gathered to discuss their day and some joking around. At one table you see Lee seated with a few other boys laughing and decide you might as well join them.

"Hey bro!" Exclaims Lee, as you take a chair at his table.

"What's up Lee?" You say more as a greeting than an actual question.

"I was just telling the boys how that hot girl Parisa invited us to her room for a "study" session." He laughs before turning his attention back to everyone at the table. "This is the guy. He can back me up. She has a sweet ass and he is going to put a good word in for me. I'll be golden for sure." He continues to boast.

The boys around the table ask questions about Parisa and if she really is as hot as Lee makes her sound. A few remember you from the aptitude test at orientation and inquire about your parents or previous magic studies. You feel confident and comfortable with Lee and his friends and are rather enjoying your dinner.

During your laughing with the boys, you notice Harmony ener the dining hall. She walks to the counter to place her order and quickly scans the room. As soon as she sees you watching her, her eyes narrow and she turns to walk to an empty table. "Typical" you think to yourself and return to discussing classes and spells with Lee and the boys at your own table.

As one boy is telling you a comical blunder he witnessed in his divination class, you feel a hand on your shoulder. "Is this seat taken boys?" A familiar voice inquires as all conversation stops. You look up to see Ophelia standing there smiling down at you.

"Of course not..." Lee says timidly.

Ophelia sits in the empty chair next to yours. Her hand never leaving your shoulder. With all the talk and jokes with the boys, you almost forgot she had asked you to dine in the Phoenix hall tonight.

"Hi." You address her. "I was wondering when you would turn up." You say as coolly as you can.

"Oh I'm a busy girl you know." She says with a smile. "But I wouldn't forget about you."

All the boys at the table have stunned looks on their faces. A third year vixen at their table, even Lee seems to be at a loss for words.

Ophelia's attention turns to the table. "Do you boys mind if I borrow him for a minute? He promised to help me with some filing earlier and tonight is the only free time I have this week." She says with a pouty tone. Without waiting for a response Ophelia stands, taking your hand in hers. "Thank you boys. House Phoenix appreciates your understanding." You stand with Ophelia as she leads you to the door. Lee and the boys eyeing you the entire time. Their shocked expressions never leaving their faces.
