Phoenix Wright

As Phoenix Wright, famed turnabout attorney left the office he had one thing on his mind. Food. He hadn't eaten anything all day and was going to spend his last dollar on a nice cheap burger before he would let himself worry about the fact he hadn't gotten a case or a paycheck in months. Well that wasn't true, he'd taken on a number of cases for friends and neighbors but they couldn't afford another lawyer and knew Phoenix didn't have the heart to charge more than they could afford. But good will does not pay the bills. As the weight of the world was starting to bare down on Phoenix he passed a small shop where there was an argument inside.

"I demand you lower the price! This is outrageous! I can find better products than this in a trash can!"

"Then go to a trash can where you belong you filth. Leave my shop!"

"Not until I get some money back!"

"If you don't leave now I'll curse you so hard your children will suffer!" Phoenix looked into the shop to see a very frustrated looking old man waving what seemed to be voodoo doll in the customers face. Phoenix was surprised to see that he recognized that customer, it was prosecutor Paine.

"I'll have you arrested and your store shut down!" Paine squeezed with his familiar shrill voice.

"Gentlemen! Please calm down, no need to fight!" Phoenix decided he needed to step in before this escalated.

"I'll happily leave if I get my money back. This was supposed to give me my hair back but they did nothing." Paine slammed down a silver coin on the counter. The shop owner rolled his eyes, "Than you should have gotten the gold one, it cost the same."

"I don't care about coins, just give me my money back and I'll find some other not shabby shop to give my money too."

"No refunds!" The old man said intently looking ready to do something bad with the voodoo doll.

"Gentlemen! No need to fight! Paine, how much was the coin. We'll try to work something out."

"1 dollar."

Phoenix stood stunned for a moment, "1 dollar? Really?" Paine nodded and Phoenix groaned, "Fine, I'll give you the dollar for the shop own, will you leave peacefully?" Phoenix said as he shoved his last dollar into Paine's chest. Paine took it and considered, "Fine. But I'll keep an eye on you."

"Good for you." The old man growled as Paine left the shop. Phoenix went to check on the old man, "Are you ok sir?"

"Yes I am sonny, I could have taken care of him myself, but I don't like to flex my muscles unless I have to." The old man said as he cracked his fingers.

"Right, well, have a nice day." Phoenix said as he turned to leave thinking he might have some stale cereal leftover in the office. But the old man stopped him, "Wait! I can't let you leave empty handed, please, look around my shop. Take whatever you want free of charge."

"Oh no, I couldn't."

"Please take what you wish, I insist."

Phoenix gave a glance around the shop to see if there was anything he could get for the office but decided against it, he didn't want to take advance of the old man's kindness. He looked down at the coins the he knew were being sold for cheap and decided they were the best way to take payment without taking anything too valuable.
