Phoebe’s story

The next day, Phoebe was looking forward to heading out and collecting more nectar as quickly as possible. It was fun to fly around such a big open space and the flowers smelled so sweet. Collecting nectar from that flower also gave her something to do. Something that mattered. When her sisters gathered to head out again, she was the one at the door waiting for the others to get ready. While waiting for her sisters, she was wondering if maybe those flies from yesterday would be there too. That one guy that landed on her flower and talked to her was kindof nice.

After going through Webby’s passage and flying to the garden, they found themselves some flowers and started collecting nectar. Mmm, that wonderful nectar. And the pollen smelled so nice and tickled her face. Too bad the flies were not around this time. She wouldn’t have minded talking to that one guy again. Oh well.

By the time Phoebe was harvesting from the fourth flower, she suddenly hear a male voice saying “Well, look at that. Looks like it’s bun-time again.”

Phoebe, as well as some other sisters, pulled their heads out of the flowers they were harvesting from and looked around. That is when they noticed the trio of flies from yesterday was there again.

“Ugh, those guys again.” Rubi sighed. Then she called out to the flies and said, “Look, we’re just here for the nectar, so just ignore us, alright?”

“Now, why on earth would we want to ignore a beautiful babe like you?” The lead fly yelled back to Rubi.

His words made Phoebe blush a little. she wouldn't know what she would do if a guy called her beautiful.

“Look, we’re not interested in you, we want the nectar. So, buzz off.” Rubi replied. Then she spread her wings and moved over to a flower that’s further away.

Rubi is just too focused on her work. She should relax a little. Phoebe stuck her head back into the flower and got back to collecting nectar. But as she was collecting, she heard a buzzing sound behind her. She looked over her shoulder and saw the fly from yesterday hovering behind her.

“What are you looking at?” Phoebe asked him.

“Oh, I’m just admiring your butt.” He said. “Yours has some really nice curves.”

He was complimenting her… Phoebe instantly got very shy and felt herself blushing.

The fly used this moment to land next to me and said, “Do you remember what I told you yesterday?”

“T-that you though I was the p-prettiest of a-all my s-sisters?”

He placed a hand on Phoebe's face and caressed her cheek. “Now that I look into your eyes, I can say those words are but an understatement of how beautiful you truly are.”

Nooo! She couldn't t believe he actually called her beautiful. Phoebe blushed hard and looked away from him. Did he really think she was that pretty?

He placed his hand on her hip and asked about her name.

She carefully turned to him again and without looking into his eyes and said, “It’s … Phoebe.”

“Phoebe.” He said. “That’s such a nice name. My name is Eli.”

No way, eli was giving her too many compliments.

“So, do you come here often, Phoebe?” He asked, as he slid his hand from her hips to her butt.

“I-I-I’ve o-only b-been out of m-my c-coc-coon for a s-short t-time.” Phoebe said nervously as she looked at her butt and how Eli caressed it. His hand was so soft and it felt kinda nice.

“Well, I tend to spend a lot of time in this garden.” Eli said. “If you like, I can show you where all the best flowers are.”

Oh gee. That was very nice of him.

“Phoebe!” someone called out at her.

Phoebe looked up and saw Rubi flying towards her. Rubi grabbed her sister by the arm and said, “Come with me, we’re going home.” As she started pulling on Phoebe's arm.

Phoebe quickly took her can of nectar and flew away with Rubi

“See you around, Phoebe!” Eli called out and waved to her.

“You really should not let those flies get near you.” Rubi said. “They are distracting you.”
