Who does she turn to?
Pete
Against her better judgement, May chose to walk to Pete's house. Even though she had her reservations about him, Pete was the nearest person that might not be infected. May thought back to Trish and felt a small jolt of pleasure in her crotch before she quickened her pace and tried to distract herself from the weirdly sexual day she'd found herself in.
As she rushed down the street, May noticed that it was unusually quiet. It was a weekend afternoon, usually there'd at least be a couple of people walking the dog or heading to the stores. It seemed today everyone had decided to stay home.
'Or they're fucking' May thought. Another image of sex flashed before her eyes, and May desperately tried to scrub those thoughts from her mind. 'Focus, May, focus'.
Luckily, Pete lived just a few doors down from May, so she made it there in next to no time. She peered into the front window, which peered into a dark room. May couldn't make out anything, which she thought was a good sign.
'Maybe no-one's home,' she thought, 'Pete's probably fucking some chick somewhere else. I hope his sister's okay...' May tentatively twisted the doorknob and creaked open the door. The hallway was as dark as the front room, the only light coming from outside. May stepped inside cautiously. So far, it looked like no one was home, but if that wasn't the case ... well, May would rather go out fighting as herself than by fucking her brain to mush. She looked around her and saw an umbrella leaning against a wall. She snatched it and held it in front of her as she creeped into the house.
As she made her way down the hallway, May began to sense that she may not be alone. She scanned the hallway surrounding her. Quickly her eyes found the only room with a bright light emanating from the gap between the door and the floor. May tiptoed toward the door, until she was standing right in front of it. She gently placed her ear on the door. On the other side she could definitely hear movement - and she thought she might have heard heavy breathing.
'Okay, so I'm not alone,' May concluded, 'Hopefully they're friendly...'
As May stood there, she began to feel ... weird. She rubbed her eyes as she tried to focus on the door handle. She felt compelled to open the door, there was a strange feeling that she would want to know what was on the other side, but alternatively, what if she walked into an orgy? A young woman with an umbrella could hardly handle even two semi-strong adults. And if this was anything like the scene in her house, May would be absolutely screwed.
