Perspective

Dr. Virginia leaned forward, her voice straining for calm. "Dave, articulate your core grievance—the pre-power dynamic." Dave swallowed hard, fingers twisting. "Before... *this*," he gestured vaguely at Jessica’s impossible radiance, "it was the constant mystical nonsense! Jessica blamed *everything* on ‘cosmic currents’ or ‘energy alignment’." His voice rose, trembling with remembered frustration. "If her horoscope said ‘avoid dairy’, and I drank milk, she’d blame my ‘disobedience’ when her bus was late! It was insane! And now..." He trailed off, shuddering as Jessica giggled softly. Virginia nodded. "Jessica? Your perspective?"

Jessica traced a finger along the couch seam, conjuring tiny, glowing constellations that dissolved instantly. "Davey’s just mad ’cause my vibes were always right," she chirped. "Like that time his car stalled? Totally him resisting my aura!" She sighed dramatically. "Men never appreciate feminine intuition ’til it rewrites physics." Dave’s foot tapped faster—*tap-tap-tap*—as if his nerves were conducting electricity. "See?" he hissed. "That’s exactly it! Delusional!"

Dr. Virginia scribbled furiously, her pen tearing through paper. "Fo—" She choked back the slang, gritting her teeth. "Jessica, Dave perceives your beliefs as… dismissive of reality." Jessica giggled, plucking a floating candy wrapper from thin air and folding it into a tiny origami swan. "Reality’s boring, Doc. Besides, look how right I was!" She gestured expansively around the room. Dave flinched, his eyes darting to the spot where Becky had vanished. "Right?" he sputtered. "You turned Gary’s penis into a baseball bat and teleported his mistress!"
