Peregrine

Peregrine drove the van down the side streets on her way to the destination, she had just dropped off the team and watched as they had entered the building with the equipment they needed from the van.

She had already contacted Simon and confirmed that he was in position to go in blazing if needed. Though she hoped it wasn't needed. Every time Tyr felt the need to have a back up team like this it was always Simon that went on the back up team. That part she didn't mind, and in fact it was one of the things that she admired about Simon. His willingness to "take one for the team". But...it also put him in danger and she had come to like the lumbering oaf over the last couple years. His earnestness, his knowledge of mechanics and his willingness to teach a person that had no formal knowledge of mechanics in Jenny. She admired his relationship with Jenny as well. Almost any other person in that situation would have demanded that Jenny pay in some way for the lessons. Instead he took her on for no charge and even convinced Tyr that she was needed.

She admired Tyr for also listening to Simon point out all the self depreciating reasons that Jenny was needed. She liked men that were aware of their faults or shortcomings, and saw it as a challenge to deal with. He dealt with his inability to do the fine work of mechanics by getting a mechanical prodigy, even if she was a SINless street kid.

Peregrine shook her head, "Got a job to do." She quickly exited vehicle and opened the back doors. Then she took out her two drones, the surveillance and the combat drone. Both were VTOL so she didn't need a runway or anything. She did a last check on the munitions of the combat, yep fully loaded and ready to rock, then got back into the and got out her vehicle control rig. She jacked both plugs into the insert ports at the base of her skull, and after a systems check brought up the surveillance drone and sent it to hover over the KISS Station. The Combat drone she put into warm up mode. "Peregrine to Simon and Tyr, no activity at the KISS station." she said into the headset that connected everyone.
