Penny sees a few familiar faces

Once she got past the first hour, Penny's stint as a living statue didn't seem so bad. Indeed, it seemed a bit weird how quickly she got used to just standing on a platform with all her goods on display, so to speak.

She kept expecting someone to say something about the size of her naked butt or the size of her naked breasts or the size of her naked -- well, that part of her that was below her belly button and between her legs.

Of course, no one said anything because right then there was no one in the room except her. But sooner or later that would change.

The worst part was the boredom. Penny kept having to do time tables in her head to keep from spacing out. Not that she was particularly good at math -- God knows she would have an easier time balancing her checkbook if she were -- but it gave her brain something to do apart from processing whatever it was she saw when she stared at the ceiling.

After a few hours, Penny decided to change to reciting song lyrics in her head. Then poems -- mostly limericks. Then quotes from Dr. Seuss books. Then some song about a soft kitty -- Wait! Where had that come from? Oh, yes. Sheldon, of course.

Speaking of which...

Wasn't that Sheldon Cooper who just entered the room?

No, wait. It couldn't be.

Oh, God. It was.

Sheldon Cooper was here.

And so was Leonard.

And Raj.

And Howard.

Oh, God. Howard. The last person on Earth Penny wanted to see her naked.

Oddly enough, none of them were looking in her direction. Good.

So maybe she could get through this without any of them catching on.

All she had to do is keep acting like a statue and --

"Hey!" exclaimed Howard, pointing in Penny's direction. "It looks like a statue of our host's girlfriend. Almost an exact duplicate in fact. Though you probably think it looks like Penny, Leonard."

"I do not," said Leonard. "Penny is a lot prettier than that. Any anyway, that woman who let us in was not our host's girlfriend."

"I don't know," said Raj. "It looks like a pretty good likeness of them both."

Geez, Raj, thought Penny. I thought you were supposed to go all mute in the presence of women. Please don't tell me that you're drinking this early in the day.

"Hey, I got an idea," said Howard as he took out his camera phone. "Why don't I take a quick photo so that I can compare a picture of this statue with the real thing?"

And before Penny knew it, she was hearing the click of a button. Then she realized that the sight of her naked body had just been preserved for posterity on Howard's camera phone.
