Penny’s Mom gets worried

Penny looked back and waved goodbye to Braden, Jenna, and Ginny. Braden put Ginny down and Ginny ram towards her house. “Come by whenever you want to hang out!” Ginny shouted.

Penny walked inside and put her backpack down by the door. She would unpack it later, she wanted to clean up a little bit more. Penny saw her mom come to greet her. Penny always got told that she looks like a much shorter version of her mother.

“Penny,” Mom asked. “Where are your clothes?”

Penny blushes. “Umm… I… I kind of lost them on my way home…” Penny knew she was lying, but if her mom knew what was happening she would freak out. Penny had to stay at that school, she wanted to be there for Braden, Ginny, and Jenna. She had just met them but they felt like her best friends ever.

“How did you lose your clothes?” Mom asked.

“I tried to take a shortcut…” Penny said. “I climbed a fence and my shirt got stuck and ripped. Then I tried to slip through a gap in another fence and my pants got caught. Then I cut through the woods and my bra got caught on a tree and the straps snapped. Then a dog chased me and tore off my panties.”

Mom nodded, she looked skeptical. “Yes… sounds… logical… how about you go clean up? You must be dirty. I’ll unpack your bag for you.”

“Thanks mom,” Penny said. “And please don’t worry, I’m an adult now, I can handle myself.”

“You are my daughter, you are still my baby, and I have a right to worry.”
