The next day?

Peace and Quiet?

Chapter 10 by Hummingbird11 Hummingbird11

Dustin sat on the couch, watching an old TV show, thinking about his progress with Jennifer. All things considered, it was going smoothly. Jennifer was accepting more and more of his suggestions without showing any signs of resistance and had no suspicions about what was truly going on around her. Dustin knew it was only a matter of time before Jennifer lost every bit of love and affection she had towards Marcus, and soon there would only be disappointment, anger, and disgust in her eyes when she looked at him. Dustin can’t help but laugh, knowing that Marcus believes it’s his own fault that Jennifer is growing angrier at him and more distant, even though he’s done nothing wrong. If anything, he’s doing everything right in a certain lens.

However, even though everything was going well, there were still things that he didn’t like to work around. Dustin didn’t like having to wait until Jennifer came home every day to influence her. He wished that she was more available to him. Dustin couldn’t help but understand Jennifer’s annoyance at Marcus for taking a position that left him out of the house for longer. He didn't know how angry he would’ve been if Jennifer took a position like that and spent even less time with him. Also, while manipulating Marcus to mess up his marriage is entertaining, it’s annoying when he interrupts his alone time with Jennifer. Dustin grumbled about it, but there was nothing he could do about it since they needed to work to pay off this house and support his lazy lifestyle.

Even so, bothering them a bit while they’re at work should be fine as long as he doesn’t go overboard. Dustin decided to call Marcus and see if he was available. Luckily, he answered.

“Hey Dustin, it's unusual for you to call me while I’m at work. What’s up?”

“I wanted to check in on the situation with Jennifer. It didn’t seem to go well at all last night.”

Marcus sighed, “I followed your advice, but Jennifer seemed to take the nickname poorly. I don’t know what I did wrong. I called her Jen-Jen as sincerely as I could. I even tried again this morning, but Jennifer brushed me off and left the house pissed.”

Dustin smirked, “That’s exactly why it didn’t work. You called her that name filled with your affection and love when you should’ve filled it with mockery. Calling her by that name sincerely was inadvertently the most insincere thing you could’ve done.”

“Well, at least I know that now and can correct my behavior going forward. Thanks, Dustin.”

Dustin smiled, knowing that he was digging himself into an even bigger hole for himself. The least he could do was help him dig it faster.

“It’s no problem. I actually have another piece of advice for you. From now on, you should do your best to touch Jennifer whenever you can. She misses your touch after being devoid of it for so long. I’ll even give you permission to hug her too.”

Dustin knew that with the suggestions he gave Jennifer last night, Jennifer would absolutely hate his touch. He couldn’t wait to see her recoil from his very touch.

“Thanks again. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Sorry to cut this short, but I have to get back to work.”

“It’s fine. I’ll see you later. Work hard.”

The call ended, and Dustin was pleased to know that his suggestions worked over the phone too. Perhaps he should call Jennifer and give her some more suggestions. No, he didn’t want to disturb her right now. Still, the short phone call wasn’t something that distracted Dustin for very long.

Dustin figured that he would just have to find a new way to pass the time as he headed to the backyard outside. Their house didn’t have anything particularly exciting in the backyard, but it did have some nice trees and a couple of hammocks to relax in. Dustin was considering taking a nap in one of the hammocks when he heard the sound of rushing water.

He made his way over and peered into the neighbor’s backyard to see a sexy young woman wearing a tight blue swimsuit with long platinum blonde braided hair leaving a pool. She had a body that most women would be envious of, with a nice thin waist, wide hips, and some sizeable breasts to go along with it. Her flawless skin only amplified her beauty as Dustin stared at her ass. Once she was fully out of the pool, she turned, and her blue eyes locked onto him immediately. Her luscious red lips curved into a smile. She smiled at him, but it wasn’t the warm greeting smile you usually give to people. It was a smug one that told him that she looked down on him and thought highly of herself. However, Dustin couldn’t say that the confidence was unwarranted given the body she had.

She made her way over to him and said, “Hello, I don't think I’ve ever seen you around before. Did Marcus and Jennifer finally scrounge up the money to hire a butler to clean their place?”

Dustin frowned as he angrily replied, “I’m not a butler. I’m currently living here as a guest.”

The woman smirked, “So you’re a deadbeat. That’s even worse.”

Dustin knew that she was purposefully trying to rile him up now, but that didn’t make it any better.

“I’m not a deadbeat,” replied Dustin as he clenched his fists in anger.

She smugly stated, “That’s something only a deadbeat would say.”

Dustin didn’t want to continue this losing game without using his trump card. “Tell me who you are then.”

She didn’t resist the suggestion too much, as she believed she was getting the better of him and smirked, “I’m Candace Windsor. Do try to remember it.”

“I don’t think I could ever forget now,” said Dustin, already tired of talking to her. If she wasn’t hot, then he would have already left. At least if he kept the conversation going, he could influence her more and drag her down to Earth where she belongs.

“Now, deadbeat...”

Dustin interrupted her, “My name is Dustin.”

Candance smirked, “Deadbeat, don’t interrupt me while I’m talking. Now, I was saying, how long were you out here for anyway?”

Dustin considered making her call him Dustin but felt that she’d resist the command since she seemed like the kind of person that doesn’t like being told what to do.

Dustin sighed, “Not long; it wasn’t even five minutes before I noticed you.”

“Well, I am quite hard to miss.”

Dustin smirked, “Agreed. You must love showing off your body. It’s quite sexy.”

Candace reveled in the attention. “Maybe I should switch your nickname to pervert instead.”

“Please don’t; besides, you love when I compliment you.”

Candace smirked, “I don’t concern myself much with the opinions of others, but I won’t say I’m ungrateful that you seem to know your place.”

Dustin bit back an angry retort, “So, what do you do for a living?”

Candance gestured to her body, and Dustin took the excuse to roam his eyes once again across her body. “Looking as good as I do is a full-time job. I don’t need any others.”

Dustin couldn’t help but think of how hypocritical she was. She didn’t have a job either, and she was mocking him for not having one. She didn’t even bother to ask why. Granted, he didn’t have a particularly good reason why he didn’t have one, but the point still stands.

“It is impressive, I must say. Feeling my gaze must be quite the compliment.”

Candace smirked, “Don’t get too ahead of yourself. You’re a six at best. Besides, I’m happily married.”

“Really?”

Dustin almost couldn’t believe that someone had married her, but then he glanced at her wet tits and his doubts melted away.

Candace stuck out her chest with pride, “Yes, my husband spoils me rotten. He works, so I don’t have to. Not that he even needs to; his family was already rich even before he became a doctor. Sorry, deadbeat, you just can’t compare.”

Dustin couldn’t resist saying, “Do you act like this to everyone you meet?”

“No, just perverts looking to stare at my body.”

“Well, I’m glad you like my company. Could you be a bit nicer, though?”

She put a hand on her hip. “You aren’t worthy of it. When you have a couple million dollars to your name, come talk to me again.”

Dustin resisted saying all the horrible things that came to mind and said, “This has been quite the experience, but there are some things that I need to take care of, so I should be going. I’m sure we’ll talk again soon since you liked hearing my voice.”

He felt her resistance, but the suggestion was ultimately accepted as he left her before he said something he regretted. He could feel Candace’s smug gaze on him as he left, and he promised that he’d make her pay for this. For now, he had to make a plan on how to advance his relationship with Jennifer even further.

Author's Note: Katherine (Jennifer's sister) won the poll, so she'll be showing up in the story relatively soon.
