Pay for the park

Lauren reluctantly followed the others to the entrance of the amusement park. She tugged down on her skirt, feeling extremely exposed with most of her body, except what this minuscule tube top and skirt covered, totally exposed. She didn't even have shoes! She slunk along sullenly and blushing with the group of excited young adults to the entrance to the amusement park

"I'll pay." Nathan said, wanting to be the man in the situation.

He went up to the gate where and spoke to the teller.

"I'm paying for all of us." Nathan explained, gesturing at the group.

The young man at the ticket counter briefly looked up.

Five adults, one child." He said.

Nathan blinked in surprise. Child? He looked back at the group... and realized the man certainly meant Lauren. Nathan grinned, amused by yet another strange, but entertaining turn to this date.

"Yes. Five adults, one child." Nathan agreed, not telling the man his mistake, that Lauren was a grown woman. After all, he might as well save the money, and keep up the ice queen's embarrasment!
