Paula lies to Jed about what happened.

Even though Paula knew the suggestion came from the part of her that was affected by the coin, from her more slutty self, she had to follow it. She didn't want to hurt Jed, and so long as he didn't know about what happened, he couldn't stop her from having more fun on the side. "I went out to get the mail while dressed too casually, and I think someone must have thought I looked slutty, so now..." she gestured to her changed body, hoping Jed wouldn't ask any more questions. She hadn't lied, not really, it was more of a half-truth. Or maybe a quarter truth...

Jed nodded at her description. "So it's what I thought then: my coin changes peoples memories and reality, yours just changes you." Then he pushed his silver coin towards her. "I have to get back to work, I don't want to lose my job over this magic coin nonsense. Just keep them both safe while I'm working, you can hang out here in the meantime. I only have another hour left in the shift, so as long as you don't use them, everything will be fine." Jed got up, gave her a kiss, then left to go start cashiering again. Left alone, Paula stared at the coin, her mind unable to stop considering the possibilities it held.
