Passion claimer
Aether stepped back into camp with Citlali in tow.
The Grand Shaman looked exactly like what she was: thoroughly, repeatedly fucked. Hair disordered, clothes hastily pulled back into place, a residual flush still high on her cheeks, and a slight, unmistakable unsteadiness in her walk. The moment the pride caught sight of her the collective expression that met them was pure, unified smugness.
Yelan lifted one hand and gave a lazy little twirl of her fingers. A near-invisible hydro filament still stretched from the direction of Citlali’s house all the way to the edge of the tents.
“Audio was excellent,” she said mildly. “Very clear. The whole camp enjoyed the late-night programming — especially the part where the ancient Grand Shaman started begging.”
The teasing landed immediately and without mercy.
Lisa offered a slow, delighted clap.
Rosaria’s smirk was sharp enough to cut.
Dehya laughed outright.
Even Shenhe’s usual blank face carried a faint trace of satisfaction.
Ganyu’s cowbell gave a soft, embarrassed jingle on someone else’s behalf.
Citlali’s face went scarlet all over again. The tsundere armor tried to rise, failed, and left her standing there taking the full brunt of the group’s knowing commentary about volume, stamina, and the impressive number of times a certain shamanic voice had cracked into pure need.
While the others kept the thoroughly exposed Grand Shaman occupied, Xilonen drifted to Aether’s side.
She held out the dark obsidian feather base she had been carrying since the Children of the Echoes. The surface now carried clean, precise lettering — her own work, final and deliberate.
Passion Claimer
“First of your line,” Xilonen said quietly, almost matter-of-fact. “I’ve watched long enough. The way you move through them, the way their flames answer, the way even the cold ones end up burning again… That is the name that fits. No existing title covers it. This one is yours.”
She placed the finished nameplate in his hand.
Small, pure-white flames began to flicker faintly along Aether’s skin.
They rose without heat, thin and clean, tracing the lines of his arms and collarbones before sinking back beneath the surface. The change settled into him like a second heartbeat — the quiet, unmistakable recognition that he had crossed a threshold. Name Bearer. The first of his line. Passion Claimer. He flexed his fingers once and felt the new current answer, already wondering how it would feel when he next buried himself inside one of his women and let that white fire answer their own.
He wanted to test it immediately.
There was no time for a private experiment.
The pride packed with purpose. Citlali’s house was stripped of the essentials she would need in under an hour. The Grand Shaman herself put up a spectacular performance of resistance the entire time.
“I am far too busy with critical shamanic duties—”
“The ritual calendar forbids travel this close to the lunar—”
“My constitution is delicate, the road dust alone could—”
“Absolutely not, I refuse, this is coercion of an ancient cultural treasure—”
While she delivered each protest she was already folding clothes into a travel pack, securing her implements, and double-checking that she had enough of her preferred tea. Every objection folded the moment anyone applied the lightest pressure. By the time the group was ready to move she stood at the edge of the path with her bag over one shoulder, still muttering about the injustice of it all, face pink, clearly coming along of her own barely-concealed will.
Rosaria watched the display with open amusement.
“Wet napkin,” she muttered to Lisa, who only smiled.
They left the Masters of the Night-Wind behind at a steady march. White flames continued to ghost across Aether’s skin at irregular intervals, drawing more than one speculative glance from the women around him. Xilonen’s expression carried quiet satisfaction each time the light appeared; the name she had chosen was already proving accurate.
The road bent south toward the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.
Varesa ,Chasca and mualani would be waiting. Mavuika would be waiting. The Festival that had been postponed for the reawakening of the remaining Name Bearers could finally begin — and with it, the rematch the Pyro Archon had been denied since the day she first dragged Aether into the arena.
Aether walked at the center of the pride, the new white fire flickering under his skin, already impatient to discover what a Name Bearer’s cock could do once the celebrations — and the Archon — were properly underway.
