Chapter 7 by Lycanthrokeith Lycanthrokeith

Who does Pan reward next?

Party U

During the night's pleasure at the home of my newest worshippers, Kaitland and myself begin talking about her older sister Chloe.

"She studies mythology," says my lovely follower, as I taste the sweet juices between her legs. "She has a philosophy minor, too."

"Sounds like your kind of woman," Jack laughs, in between moans as he mounts his altered daughter. Jennifer would certainly agree, were her face not between her mother's furry thighs at present.

"Indeed," I chuckle in response, caressing Jessica's head as she wraps her talented lips around my erection. I always had a soft spot for the philosophs, and loved to debate the wonders of the universe for hours over wine. "Would she be willing to join us?"

"I'd imagine so, Lord Pan. She's a very dedicated student, plus she's always had a problem with her weight and her self-image. She really deserves your blessing."

I nod. "Then we go in the morning."

And that we do, after a bit of rest from our revelry. I craft temporary illusions for Jack and Diane, as my power cannot be spread too thin before I have more worshippers.

Kaitland tells me that this architectural monolith is called Cameron University. It is a far cry from the temples and structures that served as schools of ancient times. I have to gently chide myself for thinking that way. These are different times, I remind myself, with different mores and methods. Still, as a deeply appreciative exchange of glances between myself and my followers confirms, there may still be a place for the old guard.

"There," Kaitland indicates with an elevated finger. "That's her dorm window, overlooking the quad."

Her room is very high up, meaning she will have a wonderful view of what is to come. I look over the area, essentially a large grass field with some stairs and benches around the outside. On the outer rim, on the side facing Chloe's dorm building, a table is set up. An adult woman and man, both dressed in matching jeans and shirts (hers fits very tightly, as does his, I can't help but notice) distribute samples of some drink called "Pepsi."

"Greetings," I bow toward them both.

"Um...hi!" the woman quickly finds her voice. "Free...sample?"

I accept the offered cup. "I'll try anything once," I say with a wink. I taste it, finding the concoction...interesting. Not the most palatable thing I've ever ingested (saying a lot by my standards), but far from the worst.

"Intriguing. Well, since I've tried your drink, would you be willing to sample mine?" I pull my flagon and hold it proudly before their wide eyes.

Ten minutes later, Jack and Diane have taken over the table, distributing cups of my wine to many an interested student. The girls and I dance on the grass, to the tune of my Pipes.

We begin to attract quite a crowd, though not all have succumbed to the effects of my wine; some are merely here for the music or the dance. Not everyone stops or samples. It is their decision; I never expected everyone to join me, nor would I want them against their desires. We take partners for dance, song, and the subtle kiss or touch from any who want to follow the tune, though we do not reveal our true nature...not just yet.

Kaitland's attention remains focused on the dorms across from our party. One by one, windows open throughout the building. Some close them again in disgust, many watch from their vantage point, others close the shades and join us below a minute or two later.

My young lover's eyes watch one particular window, which opens to her delight.

"What's going on out there?" Amy asked, looking up from the Entertainment Weekly she was reading on the bed.

"Some kind of party in the quad," Chloe responded. Though it was not especially loud, it had been enough to distract her from the paper she was writing on the viability of ancient religions in the modern world. It was not the noise, but a strange feeling of need to observe.

"Hmm," her raven-haired roommate replied. "Wonder if Chet's down there."

"Knowing your boyfriend, if it gets him out of class and there's beer, probably so." Chloe adjusted her glasses, tucking the earpieces under a lock of her plain brown hair. "I don't believe it!"

"Yeah. An open party, at ten in the morning in this place?"

"With my sister in the middle of it!"

"Say what?" Amy rolled off the bed and joined her dormmate at the window. Sure enough, Kaitland was in the middle of the spectacle, smirking back at her sister and motioning for her to come down.

"I'll go with you if you want," Amy told her friend. Chloe bit her lip, wondering slightly more about the impossibly handsome man in the center of it all, playing the reeds.

Will Chloe "continue her studies?"
