Parasitic worms

Several strange meteors fell to Earth recently, impacting all across the globe. One such meteor landed just outside a small town in the middle of the night. Such an event attracted attention from many of the locals, who all came out to see the crater left by the impact. The towns folk looked on at the smoking ball of rock as it crackled from the heat of entry trough the atmosphere. Little did they know, a swarm of worms were slowly slithering from the rock, hiding in the dirt and spreading through the field.
