POLL: AI Art Included?

Hello again, everyone!

I hope that those of you who have read through the story so far have enjoyed it. That being said, I had an idea for this story that I had not originally considered when I wrote this first set of chapters: the inclusion of AI art to supplement the text. I know that AI art is considered somewhat controversial at the moment, so I thought it best to put it to a poll as to whether or not it should be included.

The current plan is to use a free AI art generator to generate anime-styled art to go along with the text. If we vote to implement it, I'll go back and add some to the older chapters and then moving forward will incorporate them directly in to new chapters. If we vote not to implement AI art, then nothing changes! The chapters will just keep going as I can write them without further accompaniment.

In order to both come to a decision reasonably quickly and to keep writing chapters, I will leave the poll open until January 23, 2023. Hopefully, I will have one more chapter up in the meantime before the vote comes through and can then determine what to do from there. Even if this doesn't matter too much to you right now, I strongly urge you to vote to help me make sure the story is as good as it can be. The link should be at the bottom of the page. If you are reading this in the far-off future, weeping for a lost chance to make your voice heard, feel free to comment or dm me and if enough people respond we can reopen a new poll.

Wow!

After looking at the poll, it seems pretty clear that the AI art option is going to win. Right now, the vote is sitting at about 96% in favor, with only one new vote against after two days. Given this overwhelming majority, I'm going to go ahead and start including the AI art in any new chapters and then go back and add to the old chapters as I get the time to do so. To try make sure the art is palatable to everyone, I will try remember to make another poll to run after all the art is posted to give the option to remove it if it doesn't meet expectations.

As promised, here's the link for possible removal of the AI art in case it has failed to meet expectations or is deemed too distracting to be part of the story. However, since the initial win was so massive, I'm not planning on just acquiescing to a simple majority for removal. If people want it gone, I want to see a lot of people that want it gone since there was a lot of people who wanted it up in the first place. If the threshold isn't met, then things will stay as they are; and if a massive flood of responses comes in wanting the art gone, then it shall be so.
