Overseas (Epilogue)

Over time, Carrie spent more and more time with Hiroshi, and you saw her less and less. When she told you she was moving to Japan with him, it was anticlimactic, really. Even seeing you with the shrew, Edith, inspired no jealousy from her.

You kept up with her on social media. She and Hiroshi lived in his hometown, in the northern island of Hokkaido. She didn't get along with her in-laws at first, being a gaijin, but they eventually realized she was devoted to their son, and accepted her. She had a geisha's mentality and willingness to serve her Master, and had several of the most beautiful Eurasian daughters imaginable. It was a successful, serene, submissive life -- and for Carrie, that was enough.
