Overpowering opposition

You and Maya relax by the pool, as Sadie swims around happily. For once, everyone is in swimsuits, and as you glance at the house, Elys saunters out in a pink bikini, jiggling enticingly with every step. Pausing to kiss both you and Maya, she lies on the next chair to soak up the sun. Maya smiles over at you.

“This is a great gift, but sometimes I think you built it just to get us in swimsuits.” She winks at you.

You chuckle. “One, I’ve done way more than that many times over with all of you, and two, can you blame me? Every one of you girls are incredibly hot!”

Maya laughs. “Oh, I agree, but sometimes it’s fun to tease you. Besides, you’re eye candy for us too!”

As you’re about to continue to banter, the peaceful day is interrupted by the crash of the nearby fence collapsing. You leap to your feet, startled, and you hear the girls jump up beside you. Where the fence stood, three men are walking through. Two you recognize.

“Rein and Rex. Not happy with my pool? And you brought a big friend, I see.”

Rein nods. “We’re here for you, mage. We won’t hurt anyone if we don’t have to.”

Elys leans in to whisper, “Josh, they’re warded againssst my petrifying and hypnotizing abilitiesss. I can feel the wardsss.”

You nod, not taking your eyes off the trio. “Now, you know that’s not how this ends, gentlemen. I’d ask you to leave, but I know better now. Let’s just get this over with.”

Maya grins. “I got the big one, my Josh. Looks like an ogre. Should be fun.” Her words grow distorted as she changes, her eyes glowing red as her scales and claws grow, and fangs grow in her mouth. Even in a bikini, it’s an intimidating sight.

You hear Elys whisper “Emergency!” As she backs away, and there’s a splash as Sadie comes out of the pool, electricity arcing over her as she floats forward, suspended by wind.

You take up a fighting stance, calling up your reliable shield spell in one hand, as a three foot long blade of green energy springs from your other hand.

“Last chance gentlemen. Leave now.”

Rein shrugs. “Rex, take him.”

There’s a flash, and suddenly Rex is gone. Before you can react, you feel something clamp around your neck. Your blade and shield vanish, and you spin to see a grinning Rex standing there. He kicks you in the chest, sending you sprawling. You attempt to resummon your blade, but somehow, your magic doesn’t work. You can feel it inside your head, but it’s like it’s just out of reach.

Meanwhile, Sadie advances on Rein. Casually, he holds out a hand, and Sadie feels an immense **** pressing her into the ground. As she is pressed against the ground, she gasps out “Gravity mage!”

Maya dances around a heavy blow from the ogre, lashing out and carving a deep gash in his side. The brute barely seems to notice, catching her with a backhanded strike. The **** of the blow throws her sideways, and she lands awkwardly, growling as she stalks forward again. The huge ogre growls at her as he reacts his bowling ball sized fists. “I break dragon lady.”

You crawl backwards away from the grinning Rex. “Not so tough without your power, are you boy? Just give up and we’ll spare your girls.”

Before you can answer, however, you’re interrupted by the shattering of glass. A winged, white glowing figure is stalking towards the fight, eyes trailing golden fire. The tall, muscular figure points her finger at Rex. She growls one word.
