Overnight

The house settles. Chad is dead to the world, exhausted by a night of passion he thinks he initiated. Cherie is asleep beside him, her body finally relaxed, but her dreams are already being shaped by the presence in the corner of the room.

Downstairs, the dishwasher has finished its cycle. The house is pristine.

Tyler is in his room, going over the code in the original software. Once he understands the existing code, he can figure out how to improve it.
