Chapter 22 by dr_wankenstein dr_wankenstein

What's on the other side? Do they get out?

Outside at last!

The wide double doors swung open.

Bonnie and Susie stumbled out onto the front steps of the Haunted House, panting and flustered. From their elevated position, high up on the stairs, they could see out across the whole carnival. The Ferris Wheel glimmered in the distance, the flags on the Big Top waved in the night breeze. Closer to home, in the clear space in front of the Haunted House, hundreds of townsfolk had gathered to speculate on the strange squealing and groaning noises emerging from the building. Ben, in the front of the crowd, thought it was probably a mechanical failure. Hank, next to him, blamed Draculas.

Both had an extremely clear view of the girls as they stumbled into the spotlight, which was directed on the House's front door to encourage customers. Hank's mouth fell open, and he frantically began to search for his lost cell phone.

"Don't worry," said Doc Topper, who ran the Malt Shop. He was thirty-five years old, blonde, charming, and always wore a straw hat. "I've still got mine!"

Bonnie yelped and hid behind Susie as a cheer went up from the crowd. Susie gasped and threw her hands over her tall slender body, clad in only black bra and white panties, but she couldn't bring herself to move and deprive her nude, sticky friend of her only source of cover. So instead she just stood there, squirming, with no idea what to do as the cameras began to flash.

How do they get out of this one, folks?
