Synopsis: You are a young warrior born to a clan of vampire slayers. For millennia, your line has fought to scour evil from the land. "Strength from purity" has been your guiding principle since time immemorial. Each generation accumulates more knowledge and skill in the art of killing monsters, you are the pinnacle of that accumulating effort. Trained from birth, it is your destiny to venture to the Dread Castle and slay the mortal enemy of your house, the Vampire Queen. For centuries, your clan has waged war against her vicious rule. Futile effort begets a millennia of misfortune, but your clan has not given up hope yet. Each luminary sent into the spider's den brings your house closer to victory... Defeat is common, in this story where the antagonist is immortal and well-prepared. The vampire queen strings out hope to continue enticing new generations of would-be-heroes into her lair. She plays with her food, letting them think they can win. By building them up, she can break them down all the more. She is a sadist, a domineering queen, who has weaponized past generations of warriors into mindless -spawn. Inside the castle lie perilous traps and dangerous enemies. But perhaps, there is still a way to prevail? If you can maintain your purity, the source of your strength, then anything is possible.
