The rules of the household can be warped or ripped up for special occasions.

For a girl’s birthday, she is normally assigned shower duty in the morning and solo night duty in the evening. The girl on main meal duty will also tend to cook something special for the birthday girl.

Outside this you also take the girls on dates every few weeks, there is a rota for this.

The girls have an allowance from you, which isn’t large, but covers all their basic needs.

Among themselves the girls run several competitions. The two most regular ones are cooking and exercise.

Every month the girls run an exercise competition. Initially this was the furthest distance covered in the month on the treadmill, bike and rowing machines, adjusted for which machine they used. Because this was dominated by a couple of the girls the winner is now the one who had the greatest improvement since the previous month.

Also, every month you and the girls vote for their five favourite meals they didn’t cook, ranked. The winner is the most popular meal.

Other ad-hoc competitions can be run.

The prize for each competition is a choice of extra allowance, a special purchase or solo night duty. Solo night duty is the most popular prize.

The girls also bet on everything. Gloria is the bookie. The biggest sweepstake is the pregnancy sweepstake, betting on who gets pregnant first. But anything else appears fair game. You have nothing to do with this. You don’t even want to know who’s betting on what, as most of the bets involve you and if you did know you could influence them.
