Chapter 310 by Johnrocker Johnrocker

What's next?

Organising the weekend away

Mark had to say he was pretty excited about the camping idea he had come up with. Most of the group were easy.

Jess, Ali and Macca had no second thoughts, all jumping at the idea of getting away for a weekend. For Miranda, Winter and Daniel, it took a little more persuasion but they too were interested in a little getaway while Jackson agreed to it with nothing else planned for the weekend.

He reached out the olive branch to both Matt and Cassidy but they already had their own plans.

The number was now 8 but it wouldn’t be the same unless he could get it to 9 with an inclusion of Tiffany. He found her in the common room of East Hall, putting up a small poster on the wall.

Sneaking up behind her, he gave her a bit of a shock when she turned around, “Oh god! Jesus… scared me there Mark.”

“Sorry Tiff, was trying to get a closer look and what it says on the poster,” he replied, still leaning in.

Tiffany stepped to the side, allowing him a full view of the poster. Without reading all of it, he got the main idea of it.

The Campus Ball

Celebrate the end of the school year in style

Saturday, May 27th

“The board finally gave us permission to host the night here,” Tiffany explained, “It should be great, just wish Paul would have actually helped me out here with these.”

“Did you need a hand?” he asked her.

“It’s Okay, I’m almost done,” she said with a smile.

“Soo uh how does this work? Do we bring a date like prom or just show up?” he asked, now thinking this through a little more.

“It’s completely up to you, there’s no requirement to,” she said, walking in the direction of the R.A office.

Mark followed behind her, “You’ll be there right?” he asked again.

“Of course! Besides, exams will be finished and I won’t be stressing and walking around like a zombie because I’m getting no sleep,” she said, opening the door of the R.A office.

Inside, the male R.A was fast asleep on the chair, Paul not even budging when Tiffany came over and shook his shoulder to try and wake up.

“Can you believe this?” she asked Mark, pointing at Paul, “Four years has been too much with this moron.”

He laughed, still enjoying the way Paul was drooling from his open mouth as he slept on the chair.

“Hey Tiff, before I forget,” he then said as she looking for something on the desk, “I’ve spoke to the usuals of our group about the idea of a camping trip this weekend. I’ve handled all the details, leave Saturday, get back on Monday, it’s not too far but far enough to get away for a weekend, what do you think?”

She had a distressed look on her face, clearly not 100% in on the idea at first, “Look, that sounds great Mark but I’m in the busiest couple weeks of my life here, I need those days to study.”

“You can still bring your laptop and books if you want to,” he politely argued, “The fresh air and company might help a bit, when you take your breaks from studying.”

She considered it more, hearing Mark out.

“Please Tiff! It wouldn’t be the same without you,” he virtually begged the senior girl.

She laughed, “Fine, fine, fine, I’ll think about it.”

“You are a rockstar Tiff!”

Out at the Library…

Maple and Z walked out the building together, chatting to one another. Even if you were watching security footage of them with no sound, you would quite easily be able to tell that they were speaking about something serious.

Outside the front of the library, they departed. Z nodded down in her direction before she walked away quickly, holding her books tightly to her chest. He watched the blonde girl walk off in the opposite direction as he quickly checked his surroundings.

He made sure nobody had seen him talking to Maple, still sussing the area out for anyone who was nearby, keeping an eye on him,

Once he figured the coast was clear, he left, walking in the opposite direction.

However, he wasn’t as discrete as he first thought he may have been. Watching him leave was Leo Lennox, sitting in a cafe from the otter side of the courtyard. Quite frankly a stooge of Dixon, the largely built blonde hair boy watch Z exit the outdoor common area before making a move himself.

Straight away he got out of his seat and walked away from the table.

“Hey! Excuse me! You have to pay for that!” a female voice said from behind him.

Leo ignored her, leaving her in his dust as he walked out of the cafe and towards one of the main campus car parks, searching for a certain car in particular.

He could hear familiar male voices as he got closer to who he was looking for.

There on the front bonnet of an older style cheap wagon sat Dixon, putting a cigarette to his thin lips.

“We’ve got a problem,” Leo said calmly, standing in front of him.

Dixon took the cigarette away and blew an air of smoke in Leo’s face, he then pushed his sunglasses up, sitting them on top of his long hair.

“What fucking problem?”
