Orders for Malc

Malc reads the letter from the collective aloud, beaming as he speaks. This was his first solo assignment, and it was a three-star rating! Most recruits had to suffer through dull one-stars for at least a year before even getting to two-stars. Truly, this was a sign that they respected his skills. Katta beamed with pride at her little brother.

"But it says here," he continues, "the entity I'm to banish is a class S creature. Do you know what a class S even is?"

Katta shrugged. "Never encountered one, myself. But," she darted from her seat, snatching a roll of paper from a desk. She unfurled it, a map of Tenra, and pointed to something marked on the map near Clay Point, close to where Malc's orders told him to go. "There's a bestiartium in Clay Point that should be able to tell you. Here." She handed him the map, "You'll need this anyway."

"Thank you," Malc said, and he turned to leave.

Malc took in the breeze just outside his home, the wind ruffling his medium-length dirty blonde hair. The wind penetrated his robes, but barely made it through the light chain shirt he wore beneath. Staff in hand, shortsword buckled to his side, and map safely tucked away, he start on the road bound for Clay Point.
