Orders for Both

"A lousy one-star?" Katta moaned. Malc sighed and shrugged. "After how I handled that four-star last month? I wonder if they're doing this just to humble me..."

"I haven't even read the whole order yet," Malc said. "The difficulty ratings are purely class-based anyway, it's possible this could be tougher than it seems."

"True enough," Katta sighed. "Go on."

Malc read the body of the order; somewhere, disturbingly close to Arbor Point, a focus of Bad Magic had formed. The Wardwatcher sent to investigate it originally hadn't returned from her mission. Katta and Malc were to seek the first Watcher and determine whether she lived or died. However, it was explicitly outlined that regardless of the outcome, they were to go nowhere near the focus.

"Strange," Katta said, rubbing her chin, "but, it's an order. We can easily get to the Watcher's last known location before sunset."

Malc nodded and gathered her things. Katta strapped her blade to her belt, and soon they were off.
