Option: Her Request

You tried to contain your swell of emotions as your wife admitted that she wasn’t getting what she wanted from your sexual relationship and that she wanted to try having a new sexual partner. Of course, you knew that your marital bed had problems. But, you’d always rationalized the thought away. Now, her words confronted you with a painful fact. She just didn’t see you as enough for her.

Seeing your dismay, she took a step back and insisted that the key point here was a new “sexual” partner only. It didn’t mean that she was any less deeply in love with you then she’d always been. You thought back on all the times she expressed a desire to be dominated. You’d never truly noticed just how constant a refrain it was. Asking to be called names. Asking you to slap her face.
