Later that day, Natalie's sister Emily stopped by.

I let her in.

"Oh, it's you," she said dismissively. "Did Nat leave already?"

"Yep. Can I help you with something?"

"Nah, I just came to borrow a pair of her boots."

"Emily, can I ask you a favor?"

She sighed. "What?"

"I'm working on a new act, so I can earn enough to move out. Can I try it out?"

"What is it?"
