Open the book.

“Awe fuck it.” You say and toss open the book. The creepy little man quickly casts a spell as the dark energy rips through the room. You are hurled through the wall and find yourself seemingly unharmed. “Huh.” You say and look around. There is a glowing red portal that you can see, plus several black pools of light floating around. It is getting harder and harder to see, you blink and the world seems to get dimmer. “Oh crap I’m loosing my dark vision.” You say trying to make sense of it. It would seem the glowing red portal has to be the right place to go. Well, even if it isn’t, with how dark it is getting, you are pretty sure if you don’t go there soon you will be captured and eaten pretty soon.

Throwing caution to the wind, you run toward the glowing portal. You have to dodge a couple of pools of inky blackness but as you reach the portal you are suddenly standing in an alleyway in a city of tall stark buildings made primarily out of ancient looking iron. Looking around in all directions you also notice something else, your body didn’t go with you. You are now a formless cloud of consciousness. ‘Well shit’ you think, pretty sure you are completely fucked. But as you look around you realize you can sort of see through the walls. ‘Oh this wasn’t the portal, this is what the book did.’ You see lots of blobs of energy of all sorts of colors and decide these must be people. As you look around you suddenly spot one wink out and in its place your mind conjures the image of a door. ‘Oh weird, I bet I can possess whoever that is.’ You think, then thinking about all the body snatching you have dealt with so far and it occurs to you that it must be a body that just lost it’s soul but is in good enough shape that if you go in you can heal it.

You rush over there and see it is in a communal bath house, but just before you get there the door fades away and you realize that you are to late. ‘Man I have to act quick.’

A while later you suddenly see three different doors appear. The first is at the docks by a huge black river. The second is in a building you would guess is either a nice hotel or high end brothel. The third is on the roof of a building and seems to have fallen out of a much taller building.
