Open but Skeptical

"Sure," Alex said, "But I bet you wasted your money on it."

"That's the funny thing," Zeke said, "I didn't buy it ... It just showed up in my bag."

Alex hesitated for a second but shook his head, "Okay, I'll be your test subject... What spells are in there?"

They sat down at the kitchen table and Zelle opened up to a table of contents. He flipped through it, "The author had two main focuses transformation and hypnosis magic it looks like. There are a few general purpose spells and such, but most fall into those two categories."

"Which seem like they'd do the l-least amount of damage?" Alex asked.

Zeke looked at the novice level spells, "Well there is Enthrall which turns you into a mindless drone."

"Pass!" Alex said.

"Okay, seriously though. The transformation ones for novice level are: Lengthen hair or nails, change colors of hair or nails, add or remove body fat or muscle, remove body hair-

"Sounds like a makeover routine, of course a woman wrote this."

Zeke rolled his eyes, "Hypnosis wise it's got stuff like Embedded Command, Sleep, Issue Command, control dreams, etc..."
