Onwards to the kids Section

Megan took a breath and then slowly continued her journey across the store. Every time her bare feet touched the floor, or she felt her dress swish slightly with her movements she was reminded about just how little cover she had.

She passed a few other customers as she walked, her heart hammering each time, but they paid her no attention. Maybe it had been worth losing her socks after all.

It felt like forever, slowly making her way through the store, but eventually she arrived back in the kids section, reaching the aisle that Louise had first taken her to.

Megan quickly scanned around, looking for the trainers she'd removed when she took off her jeans, but could see no sign. Had Louise moved them while looking for her? Or had she tucked them under a shelf, like she had done with her socks?
