Onward to adventure

With my mind made up I decided to go for a short trip down town, I am running out of water purification tablets and I am hoping I might be able to find some in larger malls downtown or even better I might be able to find purification filters. I also wanted to check on my best friend Chloe who lives downtown, hopefully she have evacuated the city and are living well, but if she is left behind we can meet up for some company.I packed a few days worth of food and several bottles of water, I also brought my trusty crowbar just for good measures. My own apartment is about 20 miles from city center，back in the old days it would just be a quick 30 minutes bus ride away but now I have to plan a 2 day trip. Unfortunantely I do not have a car so driving is out of the question. The trip to down town takes me through the local population center and the city park so I expect quite a bit of zombies on the way, obviously I cannot kill everyone of them so the stealth approach is the only option.

The next day I departed early in the morning, as the area around my apartment is not heavily populated(I rented a cheap one near the outskirt) so there isn't much zombie activity. All I had to do is to avoid the major roads and the occassional zombies turn out to be not much trouble. It took me about 3 hours to get to the local population center, this area is packed with apartments and houses and the amount of zombies increased significantly. I had to trend a lot more carfully slowing me down significantly. Despite going slow and avoiding crowds of zombies I still almost got in trouble with 3 zombie around a corner that I did't check. I almost got bitten by the other ones as I tried to bash one of them's skull, luckily I am quite strong now and was able to shake them off before they get me. The trip turned out to be a lot harder than I imagined and by the time I got to the city park it is already late in the afternoon. I considering venturing into the city park but decided it is a bit too risky as I do not know the area well enough, therefore the only option is to rest in the populated zone for the night as there is no shelter in the city park. I tried a few houses but they are all locked and I don't want to risk sounding any house alarms. Finally, the fifth house has its front door open, the living room is a mess, either this place got ransacked or the family really left in a hurry. I checked every room and there isn't much left for me to loot, all I found was a box of matches and some cloth. By this point since I couldn't waste any water washing my cloth most of my old clothes are pretty dirty. This house was apparently occupied by a middle aged couple, a young adult daughter and a teenager son. I took a few clothes from the daughter's room, a grey tanktop with a black jacket a pair of jeans and some underwear.

After settle down I blocked the front door and cooked some of the food I brought, tonight its pork and beans with some mushroom cream and crackers on the side. There wasn't much left to do except waiting for the morning, I started to regret that I forgot to pack some of my toys with me for such boring times. Well there is no use complaining, guess I will just have to do with out it for a night. Slightly disappointed I went straight to bed.

It was a bit of a restless night, I feel a bit hot and bothered and wasn't able to fell alseep. Well I guess I can check if this place still have water and maybe a cold shower can help. So I got up and went to the bathroom, oddly the bathroom is locked. Why is the bathroom locked while the rest of the house is left open? I got curious and used my crowbar to break the door open. The bathroom is pitch black and suddenly I heard a loud roar. A zombie came out of the bathroom, it is a teenage male. Yeah this is probabily the teenage boy of living here, the family must have locked him in there and left in a hurry.
