Onto Violet City!

Exiting the Poke Center after healing the team, I made my way to the road to the north, my Pokémon journey continuing forward. I had only been to Violet City a few times, my mother not being one to venture very far from our home. A cultural gem in the region, Violet City was a well-known center for education and shopping before the Great War. Unfortunately, firebombing from Kanto had reduced much of the main city, and many of the people living there were left destitute afterwards. The massive loss of life there had resulted in the construction of a shrine of sorts, a shrine that I had never been to.

The last time I had been in Violet City, I remember there being a school or academy of sorts. An education center literally based around being a Pokémon trainer, I had begged my mother to let me attend. She of course refused, though I often wondered if it was just too expensive to send me there. We didn't have a lot of money growing up since father died, and my mother did her best with what she had.

Shaking these thoughts, I pushed forward, joy on my face as I exited Cherrygrove City and started on Route 30!

Before I could get too far, a man quickly walked past and pushed me out of the way.

"Excuse me!" I yelled, looking up to see the man turn around.
