Only temporarily.

You're surprised to find that after Ed's messages, Charlie seems to relent for a bit. No photos, no texts, no anything. She keeps a mischievous eye on him... but leaves him alone. You shiver. It's like a cat savouring the ambush.

The family eats dinner together, and Charlie really seems to enjoy how Ed won't make eye contact with anyone, or communicate in more than one syllable, the entire time.

Mr. and Mrs. Morgan get dressed up after dinner, sounds like they're heading out. Then, soon after they leave, Charlie emerges from her room. You think you've heard her mention yoga before, and her body is defffinitely fit and flexible enough that you could guessed that she did it regularly - but she must have been doing it in her room, because you've never seen her like this. Curly hair in a loose bun, tight grey sports bra on, belly on full display, athletic leggings on that are so tight they're like a second skin... oof. She makes a big production out of leaving her room, loudly dropping her yoga mat in the upstairs corridor; clearly trying to get Ed's attention.

She goes downstairs and starts setting up in the living room - again, completely unheard of. She puts the TV on, with some sort of yoga instruction video playing, and increases the volume just a little too much. Then Charlie just lies in wait, doing a few casual stretches and listening intently.

When she hears the stairs creak, very quietly, an evil smile spreads across her face. Then she carefully turns away from the doorway and pretends to focus entirely on the video, leaning into an easy yoga pose.
