Only Scraps

A sense of disappointment washed over Naruto when he was united with his female counterpart. Not only that she'd been captured, and destroyed, taking away the last Bimbo Ray. But there was something else there too. The realization that her fun carefree time was over, and now he was stuck here in this jail cell and not her bright pink world anymore. As he laid captured in the prison he found himself reliving her memories, enjoying the simplicity and wonder inherit in her every vapid thought.

He could not say for how long he hung there entranced by her afternoon, only that he could have gone on for twice as long had the Jail Cell not opened up. When he pulled his head up, he saw Hinata shyly entering the cell. "Hinata?"

She nodded, and ran to him. Looking away, and blushing with shame she wrapped his helpless body up in in a hug that lasted a few heavy seconds before she broke it. "I... I've come to rescue you!" She closed her eyes waiting for his response.

"That's great!" He cheered, kicking his legs. "Thank you, thank you!"

"Tenten needs you." Then with the flat of her hand she smacked the chains that kept him in place, and they shattered. He fell to the ground, and wasted no time bolting out of the cell. The guards posted to his spot were passed out on the ground. He couldn't believe Hinata had gone through all of this just for him! "Hinata you're amazing!"

"B-before you go." She ran into a nearby room, and came out with a box. Inside Naruto found The Bimbo Ray, what was left of it, and all of it's parts. It looked pretty rough. Naruto would have called it destroyed. All that was left was shards of plastic, a few metal mechanisims, and a glowing pink rock.

"It's ruined." He sighed, it was a nice fantasy while it lasted.

"Tenten could fix it." Hinata said, looking strangely determined, for her.

"You're right!" Naruto lit up. She was only the greatest weapons expert in the world. If anyone would know how to fix this thing it was her. Convincing her was going to be another story. It'd be so much easier if he had The Bimbo Ray! Of course if he blasted her too much with it, she wouldn't be any help at all. He hoped she was still as capable as they knew her to be.

"She and Kurenai are both being kept in the medical wing, until they can find a cure. Good luck." She leaned forward and kissed Naruto on the cheek.

"Y-you're not coming with me?"

She shook her head, and smiled. "No." She bit her lip. "I like to watch."
