What's next?
Only If It Comes To That.
“Look. I appreciate that you trust me with this and I promise not to tell anyone but I can't do it. Not that I don't want to. I just don't want to take advantage of you. This situation being what it is.” I shook my head. “I understand. like I said. You are a good person.”
“Hey. If it gets to bad and it's what you really want.” I gave her hand a squeeze.
“Thank you.” She said as she leaned over and stole a kiss. “I should go. Let you get some sleep.”
“Good night.” I said and she left. I felt a little bad for turning her away but at the same time I felt like it was the smart move. My dick wasn't to happy about it. Luckily a stiff drink or two helped me finally get to sleep.
“I woke up the next morning feeling a little bit of what Helga was saying as the light burned my eyes as it came in through the bedroom window. I got dressed and made my way down stairs to see Astrid talking to some woman with breast and I do mean big. She had a nice ass as well to match to balance out the front. It took me a full minute to realize she had short horns growing out of her hair.
“Always good to see you dear. Say hello to your mother for me and think about what I said.” Astrid smiled and took her hand putting money in it.
“I will. Thank you.” She smiled and turned.
“Hello.” She nodded polity as passed.
“Ma'am.” I nodded and watched her as she walked out. Even through her dress I could make out the roundness of her ass.
“Good morning.” Astrid said snapping me back to reality.
“Morning.” I smiled and took a seat at the bar.
“Sleep well?
“Like the dead.” I nodded. “Who was that?”
“Daisy. She brings us fresh vegetables and cheese from her families farm from time to time.”
“Any good?” I pointed at the wheels of cheese.
“You tell me.” Astrid pulled off a piece and offered it to me. Or should I say feed it to me.
“Not bad. What animal does this come from?” I smiled.
“Minotaur.” She shrugged and I stopped chewing and thought about it.
“You mean?” I pointed towards the door.
“No not Daisy herself but her mom. You didn't notice the horns and hoofs? Most guys never do with those tits of hers.” Astrid laughed making her own tits jiggle slightly which looked mighty yummy themselves in the dress she was wearing.
“Small fry in back.” I asked as I went back to chewing.
“Around here somewhere with Arwen. She was helping me make breakfast earlier. Little goblin has spirit at least and not afraid of a little hard work. Better then some girls I hired in the past and she has a really good sense of smell which is a must for a cook. Nothing else she might make a great cook and maid. Sadly not as a serving wench.”
“Why is that?”
“Guys come in here for three reasons. The ****, music, and the girls if you catch my drift.” Astrid leaned over the bar top slightly and gave her girls a little shake.
“Men.” I smiled.
“Speaking of breakfast would you like some?”
“Yes. Please.” I nodded.
“So no quest today?” She teased.
“Days still early.” I joked as she went into the back.
“So what are you going to do with yourself?” She said as she came back out with a bowl and set it down in front of me.
“Some shopping maybe. Figure I would try my luck hunting later. Least get a feel for the woods around here if nothing else. Anywhere but north.” I smiled. Other then Terra I would like to go a day without seeing one of those little bastards.
“Then you will want to head west toward kingswood.” She smiled and fixed me a drink to go with the sausage.
“Kingswood?”
“The kings royal hunting grounds so to speak though anyone can hunt there. There is a small town out that way called Hunters Rest where the king has a cabin nearby hence the name kingswood. I hear it's teaming with deer this time of year. There is only one road out that way so you can't get lost. Unless you end up in the Everwoods. Then you went to far.”
“Elf territory?”
“Yes. Though it takes several days to get there and you would have to go over the Greenhill mountains.” She smiled. I knew of the everwoods but only in stories. Some say they went on for ever or at least to the far end of continent.
“While I am out mind if I steal Terra. I need look for some shoes for her and boots for me if you can spare her.”
“I don't know. You can see how swamped we are right now.” Astrid teased as she looked around. “Their is a tailor right down the road run by my daughter and her wife. It is where me and Helga get our clothes though they make clothes for all races. If they don't have it in stock they can make it for you. One is a tailor and the other does leather work. Heidi can make shoes or any other leather work you may need her wife Gwen is an elven tailor second to none in my opinion but I am a little bias.”
“Wife?” I said. I had caught everything else she had said but that part threw me.
“We gnomes are very open minded when it comes to love. Tell them I sent you and they cut you a good price.”
“Thanks.” I nodded. Nothing else they could be fun to meet. “Any clue where I can buy some arrowheads? Any decent but cheap smith in town?
“You would have to ask Torvald.”
“Ask me what?” A voice said from the back. Torvald came out a second later.
“Speak of the devil.” She smiled at him.
“I am looking for a smith who makes arrow heads. Good but cheap.” I shrugged. I was hopping that competition might drive the price down on arrow heads but I still wanted something cheap. No need to waist good money on an arrow I might loose if I missed a shot or got damaged from hitting a bone. Unless the goblins became a regular thing and started wearing armor. Then I would buy the best steel I could find.
“Then you want Sura. She is good but cheap.” He nodded.
“A lady blacksmith?”
“An orc one though she is far from a lady. I buy horse shoes and the like from her. Orcs don't make the best looking stuff but its durable as hell and she is cheap. I mean the metal not the woman. She sooner kill you then fuck you. Or kill you while she fucks you.” Torvald laughed.
“Language.” Astrid said smacking him on the back of the head.
“Sorry Ma.” He rubbed his head. “She lives in old harbor. To the west down by the docks.”
“Thanks.” I smiled. I found Terra upstairs helping Arwen clean one of the rooms.
“Hey. How are you feeling?” I asked.
“Okay.” Arwen nodded. “Thanks for last night.”
“Not a problem. Just let me know if things. You know.” I gave a little shrug.
“I will.” She smiled and nodded.
“Come on squirt. I'm taking you shopping.” I said and ruffled Terra's hair.
“Yeah.” She cheered. “Wait. What is shopping?”
“Come along and I will show you.” I nodded with my head. We made our way through town as Terra clung to me like a tick as she jumped at every new noise. City life would take some getting used to for both of us. The shop wasn't hard to find and I saw a face I was sure was Astrid's daughter. Same hair, button nose, freckles, big tits. I think when the divines made the races all they were a little generous with the gnomes in certain attributes.
“Please come in.” She said as she walked over.
“Hello. I am looking for some clothes. Astrid sent me.”
“Then you are in the right place and any friend of my mother is a friend of mine. My name is Heidi. What do you need?
“Shoes for this one and some tunics for me.” I said pushing Terra forward.
“Then you will want Gwen but she is out at the moment. I can take your measurements if you like while we wait.” She smiled.
“Sure. That be great.” I nodded. She went and got a wax tablet and set it on a counter then grabbed a step stole and set it down in front of me.
“Please raise your arms.” She said as she put the stylus in her mouth and went about measuring me. Her large tits rubbing up against me as she still had to reach a bit. She would stop after a few and use the stylus to write in the wax tablet. When ever the clothes were done they could use the other end of the stylus to smooth out the wax and erase what she had wrote and use it for the next customer.
When she had me turn around I had to keep to face her I had to keep telling myself to not get an erection as I looked down at her tits before me as they brushed up against me.
“So how do you know Mom?” Heidi smiled up at me.
“I am staying at the Inn.” I shrugged.
“You wouldn't be the one who saved Torvald would you? The hunter.”
“Guilty as charged. You heard about me?”
“Through Helga. Thank you.” Heidi smiled. I glanced over as the door opened and in walked a lovely blonde elf. “Ah there is she is now. Honey this fine gentleman would like to buy some tunics. He is a friend of Astrid's.”
“Gladly. Always good to see a fresh face.” Gwen smiled as she came over.
“While Gwen handles that why don't we see if we can't find some shoes in your size.” Heidi held out her hand toward Terra. She looked at me and nodded.
“While I am here. You don't happen to have any sheaths for knives do you?” I asked.
“No. Not something I normally sell but I can make one easy enough if you have the blade on you.” She responded.
“Yes. Here you go.” I said pulling it from my boot. I had slide it into my old scabbard but it was a tight fit and an inch of the blade stuck out from the sheath.
“Nice craftsman ship. Kingsforged steal. I will take it in back and measure it. I can have it ready by tomorrow.” Heidi nodded and took it with her.
“Thank you.”
“So what is your trade?” Gwen asked.
“Hunter. Why?”
“Every trade needs certain clothing. I think you would look quit dashing in red by deer may not. This time of year you would look best in green. Makes you hard to see in the woods. Lightweight so it breaths easily. I don't have anything like that made but I can make you one easily enough.” She smiled.
“Two if you could.”
“It will take a little longer but I will be glad to make it for you.” Gwen smiled.
“That be great. Thanks.”
“Of course. If you are hunting in the area we would be glad to buy any animal skins from you. They aren't worth as much as they would be during the winter mind you but we will cut you a fair price better then you get at other places this time of year.”
“Thanks. I will keep that in mind.” I smiled. It seemed I could make a fair amount of coin here for hunting game. Back home hunters and trappers were pretty common but here in town I would guess not so much.
After a little while later Terra came out wearing a pair of shoes.”Well look at you. How do they feel?
“Heavy.” She said picking her feet up.
“You will get used to them.” I smiled. I was sure to someone who had never worn shoes they would feel weird. I took her back to the Inn feeling she had had enough if the city for one day. If nothing else I would try and ease her into it. I paid the ladies and took Terra back home for the day.
I stole the horse and went to go find the orc blacksmith Torvald had mentioned which wasn't hard despite how big the docks were. Their were some orcs here and there but not many in town. I found her hammering away at a hot piece of steel. A leather bustier that showed off her tits and a pair of leather pants was all she wore under her apron. Her full round tits bouncing with each strike of her hammer against the steal. They were large but not overly so as she had a more tone figure you would expect for an orc who swung a hammer all day. She had the typical light brown skin I had come to recognize in the few orcs I had meet though it was more of an earth tone brown then that of human, elves, gnomes and the like. She finally noticed me and dunked the hot metal into water.
“Hello. Are you Sura.”
“Yes. Need something?” She folded her arms. Typical orc. They were never quick to trust a stranger.
“I am looking for some arrow heads. Torvald said you where the one to talk to.”
“Your a friend of Toman's. I should charge you double then.” She sneered as a small smile crossed her lips. I am sure it had to be something he did or said in the past that had amused her. “I don't have many. Not much request for them really but I make them sometimes when I have scrap metal left over and don't need nails. They are yours for three copper.”
“Done.” I said and reached into my bag.
“Not trying to barter human?” She folded her arms.
“Would the price be different if I tried.”
“No. You are smarter then most.” She grinned and nodded and held out her hand.
“Can you make more? However much this will get me.” I said handing her ten copper.
“Twenty one.” She said looking at it in her hand. I was a little surprised truthfully. I knew quit a few humans who couldn't count though I imagined for an orc who sold stuff to other races it was a requirement so she didn't get ripped off. A mistake I am sure would be painful for anyone who tried to shortchange her.
“Sounds good. Thank you Sura.”
“Human.” She nodded. I headed out the gate into the country side. There seemed to be more hills out this way compared to the flat plans to the north and east of the city. I saw more farm animals as well as shepherds watched over their flock that grazed on the grass or farmers worked on their pins they kept the animals in throwing out food. As I came over a small hill I saw three teenage boys chasing after a girl who I instantly recognize by her backside as I got close. It was the minotaur girl who had sold the cheese to Astrid.
“Hey, cow girl. Why don't you give us a moo.” One of the boys said.
“Come on give us some milk from those big tits of yours.” Another one giving her tit a squeeze. She turned away and covered her tits. She wasn't even trying to fight back which was strange given what I had heard about minotaurs but fact versus fiction I guess. I got off of the horse when I got close and lead the horse behind me.
“What are you looking at?” One of the boys said noticing me as I approached.
“Three jack asses. No offense to the donkey.” I said referring to the donkey the girl had pulling her cart.
“What you say?” One of the boys stepped forward.
“Sigurd, he has a sword.” Another one said trying to stop him.
“Bet you won't fight me man to man.” Numb nuts said puffing out his chest.
“You would win that bet but your not a man if you have to pick on women to make yourself feel better.
Bet you double you can't out run my arrow but I will give you a head start just to make it fair.” I said and drew an arrow and nocked it. “Ten, nine, eight...”
“Let's get out of here.” One yelled and the boys took off running.
“Are you okay?” I said putting the arrow away.
“Yes thank you.” She nodded.
“Daisy right?” I asked trying to remember her name.
“Yes. Your from Astrid's Tavern.” She smiled.
“That be me. I take it you live out this way.”
“Yes. My family has a small farm about a league further down the road.” She nodded.
“Mind if I escort you?”
“That really isn't necessary. You have done enough. I don't wish to bother you anymore.” She shook her head.
“No bother. I am heading that way myself.” I shrugged. I wasn't really in a hurry.
“Thank you.” She smiled and wrapped her arm around mine. Her large breast rubbing against me. Now that I was close I could see her ears where different and her eyes were a deeper brown nut other then that and the horns she looked human. The only other difference I saw was hooves but only because I was looking for them. “So where are you heading?”
“Kingswood.” I shrugged.
“Your a hunter by trade?”
“Yes.” I nodded.
“Perhaps you can help me and my mother then?” She asked.
“Depends. What do you need?” I gave her a look. I thought I had heard they only ate plants such as oats.
“Some animal got into our barn and ate some of the food then attacked one of our sheep. Mom scared it off with a crossbow last night but it got away.” She shrugged.
“She get a good look?” I replied.
“No. It was dark.” She shook her head. “I don't want to keep you if you have somewhere else to be but if you have the time we would appreciate it.”
