One-on-One

Grace squirmed in the chair, it’s cold leather giving her shivers up her spine. Grace had been feeling a lot more sensitive ever since the virus had weakened its control over her. First her mind had woken up, and now her body. Dr Olivia had offered Grace clothes, but the dark voice wouldn’t let her take them.

“It’s like clipping a birds wings,” the voice whispered, “You don’t want that, now do you?”

Dr Olivia sat nearby, hunched over a computer, fingers flying across the key board.

“This is massive,” she said giddy, “All we have to do is create a vaccine that blocks the virus’s receptors for the brain chemical, and the virus will die off, freeing its host. All I need to do is create the compound and we’re good to go on the first version.”

Pushing off, Olivia slid across the floor on her chair to a machine. Grace wasn’t sure what it did, but Olivia worked it just fine. After a few button presses, the machine let out a high pitched beep and sprang to life. The machine shook for a few minutes, until it dinged. Olivia popped open a hatch on the side and produced a vial of clear murky liquid from inside.

“So sweetie, you ready to be the first test subject for our cure?” Olivia asked, already striding towards Grace.

The words barely registered in Grace’s mind. Grace was struggling to think. The voice inside her was fighting ferociously to get out of the cage Grace had put it in. The virus’s influence on Grace’s mind was still there, and it knew that if Grace took that cure, it may die. So it whispered to Grace,

“Why do you resist? You don’t want to go back to being human do you? Remember how it felt, to be unrestrained and able to experience anyone you wanted. Give back in Grace. Fuck her Grace. She just doesn’t understand, she doesn’t know what she’s doing because she’s never experienced the pleasure of fucking a zombie. Do it Grace, infect her!”
