One More Chance To Be Stupid

Kenny pulled his Gran Torino alongside the curb and killed the engine. He climbed out of the car and quickly brushed out the wrinkles of his dark blue button-up, giving it a straightening tug from the bottom. He quickly did the same for his pants and finally walked around the side, standing alongside the car and staring at Ellie's house. After only a few moments, he saw a curtain pull to the side from the right-most window, and he saw the blonde's face peek out; she held up a finger and mouth, "One second," and Kenny gave a nod. Tucking his hands into his pockets, Kenny leaned against the car and thought. So, here I am, on a real honest-to-God date with Ellie. I really almost fucked everything up because of my big stupid mouth. I can't have her end up hating me, even if things don't...go further. Kenny's brow slightly raised and shifted ever so slightly. This is pretty weird though, I'm supposed to go out on a date with Tess tomorrow too. I don't think I should --

"Sorry for keeping you waiting." Kenny was ripped from his thoughts, and he quickly looked up, finding Ellie standing before him. His eyes immediately widened, and an **** smile grew across his lips. With a tight white, shoulderless blouse, a slimming black skirt, lifting black heels, and an off-kilter cream-colored beret, she was equal parts cute and mesmerizing to the teen. "My mom was hogging the bathroom, so I fell behind."

"T-That's totally fine, no problem!" Kenny all but blurted back, his wide eyes unable to tear away from the girl, now admiring her make-up, her red lips were all the more tantalizing, and her eyes looked bluer than ever.

Kenny's gawking didn't go unnoticed; Ellie lifted a hand to her cheek, "What, do I have something on my face?"

"No, you just look -- sorry, just seeing you so dressed up and everything," Kenny let out a nervous breathy laugh, "You look beautiful, Elle."

Ellie's cheeks immediately turned pink, and she pushed passed the teen to his car, "Can we just get in your car and go to dinner?!"

Kenny stepped to the side, admittedly caught off guard by Ellie's response, "R-Right, of course," He took hold of the door as soon as Ellie got in and closed it for her, "I guess she's still a bit pissed off with me?" Kenny murmured under his breath as he lightly jogged around to the driver's side. Meanwhile, Ellie sat silently, staring out the window while Kenny climbed in. Goddamnit, get ahold of yourself, girl! Remember the whole reason you even accepted this date?! He's an asshole; yesterday showed you that he just doing this out of pity to "let you down" easy later. So you're going to beat him to the punch! I am going to reject him by the end of this date and then forget about this jerk who is playing all these fucking games with me... Kenny turned on the car, and Ellie peered over at him from the corner of her eye, and immediately, she felt her heart beating faster. Ugh, why am I getting excited?! I'm not supposed to enjoy this; I'm supposed to not care! Who cares if he called me beautiful?! He's a jerk! Kenny looked over and caught Ellie's eye, and warmly smiled back, and she felt her stomach twist into knots. _Ugh, stop it! _This is so fucking annoying!

While their date started off more than rocky, Kenny kept his cool and decided to focus on treating Ellie to the best date that he could muster. The first stop of the evening was Fire and Ice for a nice dinner which in the beginning was more than awkward. Ellie seemed apathetic to the whole thing at first, barely talking to the teen, mostly on her phone, feeling as cold as she did the first time he had met her at the gym at the start of the summer. But Kenny stuck to his guns; he wanted to make sure she knew that he was trying to make the most of it, and eventually, it started to pay off. By the end of their meal, Ellie was slowly opening back up to him once again, and after they left the restaurant and stopped at Sweet Spot for ice cream, she was at least laughing with him and keeping her phone in her pocket.

With ice cream in hand, Kenny led Ellie down the block, deciding that a walk at sunset sounded even nicer. As they got a block down, Kenny looked over to the blonde, "Hey, I just wanted to say, I'm glad you gave me the chance. I'm having a lot of fun with you tonight, Ellie."

"Me too..." Ellie returned before rolling her lips in, her steps slowing to a crawl,

Kenny stopped along with her, "What's wrong?"

"Oh, Jesus...here it goes..." Ellie steadied herself, puffing her chest out; she turned to face Kenny, "I was going to ghost you after tonight."

Kenny tilted his head, "What? Ghost me? What are you talking about?"

Ellie let out a mixture of a scoff and laugh and tossed a hand up, "It's exactly what it sounds like, Kenny; I was going to ignore you as soon as our date ended tonight. You really hurt me yesterday, and when you asked me out on a date after that, it caught me so off guard I said yes without thinking." Kenny stared back at the blonde in nothing but surprise, "My idea was to...reject you before you reject me," Ellie lowered her head, looking to the ground instead, "That way, it wouldn't hurt as much; I didn't expect actually to have a nice night like this with you. I thought you only did this out of pity for me, and it would be half-assed."

Ellie finished, and silence lingered for one long minute before Kenny let out a chortle, "Remember how I said we didn't actually know each other?" Ellie glanced up nervously, uncertain what Kenny was about to say but paused as she only found his kind brown eyes looking back at her, not holding an ounce of resentment. "You don't know me; I'd never do something like that. I might suck at talking to girls, I might not be able to make an actual fucking decision to save my life, but I'm being honest when I tell someone I like them, and Elle, I do like you. It's just that I have other people in my life too. And I --" Kenny let out a near defeated sigh, "And I do know that means I will have to decide on who matters the most, but it's not easy. I don't want to hurt anyone. And I don't want anyone to hate me in the end."

"So what does that mean? I'm just one of many?" Kenny sighed and brought his hand up, rubbing his eyes,

"No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm trying to say that I just am trying to figure things out, to make sure if I tell you that I want us to be more, then I know that's because you're the girl I truly want in the end and no one else will ever be in my head." Kenny finished, and Ellie stared back at him, the pair having now switched, and Kenny held his breath, waiting to hear how the blonde would respond.

Ellie blew out a steady breath through her nose, "You really, honestly, mean that? You aren't just saying that trying to spare my feelings or something?" She calmly asked, and Kenny gave a definitive nod back. Ellie let out a much slower and calming breath, immediately taking Kenny's hand in hers, starting to walk again as she gave her ice cream cone a lick, "Did you have any more plans for us tonight, or we're we going home after we're done with these?" She asked with a smirk,

"Oh, uh...I mean, either or!" Kenny swiftly replied, "We can stay out longer...as long as you don't hate me now..."

"Kinda hard to hate you when you tell me you don't want to string me along," Ellie retorted with a small shake of her head, "And...maybe I'm just an idiot, but...I can't help it; I like you. I loved tonight because I was spending it with you, and I want to believe that I'll have a lot more like these after. So no, Ken, I don't hate you. Now shut up, eat your ice cream, and take me to a movie, bozo."

Kenny grinned, "I can do that,"

Close to an hour passed before Kenny and Ellie finished their ice cream and walked around town, both being much more open and relaxed with one another. A short drive later, Kenny was pulling into the movie theater parking lot, buying two tickets and a bucket of popcorn, and leading Ellie inside. Despite the movie being the newest in the theater, it had been out for a while at this point, and at such a late showing, Kenny and Ellie quickly realized they were one of the very few at the large theater. "I guess we get to pick wherever, huh?" Kenny softly whispered,

Ellie nodded and pointed to the back row, "Want to go there? We can sit centered, and no one else will really be near us." Kenny nodded in agreement, and the duo shuffled their way up the dimly lit steps and into a pair of comfy cushioned seats. A few minutes after that, the lights in the theater turned off, and the movie began, and snaking her arms around Kenny's, Ellie rested her head on his shoulder.

This is how they remained for the better half of the movie, but while Ellie was keeping up happily with the movie, Kenny admittedly was getting a bit bored. The movie, while having a few fun scenes here and there, turned out to be much more of a heavy romance. After growing up watching action movies and campy horror with Mindy every Friday night, the teen was almost struggling to stay awake, which of course, meant his mind began to wander. I think this must be some kind of cosmic justice for hurting Elle yesterday. I mean, thank God she's forgiven me now, but gees, this movie blows... Kenny's brow jumped, and with a smirk, he peered at the blonde on his arm. Been a while since she had done that for me. Not that I earned one anyway. Did that happen in that threesome with Nikki? God, that who thing is such a blur; all I can remember is their two perfect bodies playing on the floor with each other, and then when Nikki was holding Elle up for me and I -- Kenny felt his cock stiffening in his pants as his brain replayed the images of that night over. Kenny cleared his throat and sat up, trying to **** his mind off of the lewd train of thought and back to focusing on the movie. Yet, the damn was already broken, and as the minutes ticked on, despite his best efforts, Kenny continued to think more and more of the things he and Ellie had done in the past. How intense they always felt, how risky it was in her office or when she snuck into his bed and blew him while he spoke with Juliet, not to mention the time she had done that right in the middle of the gym, narrowly escaping being caught by Tessa. His eyes drifted away from the movie screen again, and this time they landed on Ellie's slender legs.

Stop it, don't even think about that, you idiot. Kenny chastised himself, but his hand freely ignored him and gingerly reached out, lightly resting on her thigh. The sensation immediately pulled Ellie's attention away from the movie, and the girl quickly let go of Kenny's arm sitting up. With ease, Kenny slowly started to rub his hand up and down, and each time it finished a pass, it rested a bit higher up her leg, pushing the blonde's skirt up. The blonde looked down at his hand, and with pink cheeks she looked over to the teen, "Ken, what are you doing?" She fervently whispered,

"I don't really know..." Kenny breathed back, "I just...the movie isn't keeping my attention, and I guess I started thinking about you and me...and how long it's been." Ellie let out a shaky breath as Kenny's hand worked its way to her inner thigh, "The last time was with Nicole, which I can't say I really count, so what would you think? Close to a month now, right?"

"I t-think so?" Ellie replied as she rapidly looked around the theater, noting the ten other moviegoers in the seats closer to the front, "You s-should stop that before we get c-caught,"

"We're pretty tucked away back here; no one could really see us," Kenny hummed back, "Sorta like that day in the gym when you brought Tessa to give me a massage?" Kenny leaned his body over, bringing his mouth closer to Ellie's ear and his hand closer to her slit, "And you sucked my cock right out in the open."

"That was different," Ellie shivered, "No one came in on Tuesday night; we're in a movie theater,"

"Elle..." Kenny whispered, causing the girl to look over, and immediately, she found Kenny's lips on hers in a full, heavy kiss. A small trill of surprise left her, but she didn't pull away in the slightest, instinctually kissing back. However, just as Ellie found herself starting to give back, she felt Kenny's hand pulling away from her leg and Kenny's lips breaking off hers, "Sorry...I just missed that...but I don't want to make you uncomfortable because I'm being stupid. Maybe we pick this up later? My place?" He added with a hopeful half-smile.
