On with the last leg of the journey

The three of you are all able to pack up within an hour, but Elizabeth takes an additional 45 minutes after that before she is ready. As you walk toward the Elven capital, you notice that the Rachael never leaves your side, her eyes showing her need for you. But her proximity doesn’t give you a chance to talk to Elizabeth about last night.

Around noon, the Elven walls finally come into sight. Each member of your party stands in awe of the magnificent capital walls. There are fifty yards of clearing between the dense woods and the walls, however, no moat. That would change the land to much, which would infuriate the wood elves. To make up for the lack of a moat, the walls look at least 100 feet high and coated in Elven gold that is published to a mirror finish with crystal periodic embedded in them. Both the published gold and crystal makes the wall shine and glisten, making the wall difficult to look at and almost blinding in board daylight.

As you reach the gates the guard stops you and asks you your business here. You reply that you are the rightful heir of the kingdom of Thule and want an audience with the Elven king. The process of entering the Elven city is long and drawn out. For non-elevens the guards will confiscate your gear and inform the council… The council then votes on whether or not to grant you entrance. While the elves rarely deny anyone… it’s certainly a long process. The long process gives you time to once again recap on your current standings.
