Chapter 9 by zankoo zankoo

Let's get the party started!

Olivia and the men's team

"What's everyone drinking?" said Olivia, sweeping into the kitchen to take her role as host. She looked around the room, the bright white kitchen, now filled with five men from her college days.

Ben, always a bit of a clown, but she always remembered when the men's and women's teams would travel together for away games, he was aggressively protective of her and some of the other girls on her team. She could always trust him.

Donnie still had slightly sad eyes like he had in college. She had a soft spot in her heart for Donnie, whom she had a brief relationship with years ago. He was so kind and sensitive. It was great that he was now a teacher and a coach, able to give back to kids everything he carried with him through his own school years.

Henry ... oh, what did she ever know about Henry. She was shocked that he even came to the party. He didn't live nearby, and he didn't seem to have that much focus in his life. He was like that then, too, except having strict guidelines for practices and games, a diet regiment, a curfew, Henry was never able to let loose.

Isaiah, she just swooned at the thought of Isaiah. Never was there a more beautiful man. His height, his strength, the blackness of his skin. He spoke softly, and she knew that he would never lay a finger on her ... well, not without permission.

Finally Joshua, whose smile made her melt, whose eyes always seemed to know exactly what she was thinking. Does he know what I think now, she wondered. I think such different thoughts now. I'm not the same girl. What would you think of me now, Joshua?

She looked across the five of them and inevitably thought about her house and the rules she and her housemates lived by. She sighed. These men didn't know the rules. What was she getting herself into? How would this night possibly progress?

Then she replayed her awkward greeting with Donnie, her admission of affection for both Isaiah and Joshua, the way she gazed at Ben when he arrived. And Henry, but she couldn't think about Henry.

Honestly, she shouldn't think about any of it. Just have dinner a few drinks, reminisce about old times, and we'll all have a lovely night.

What's next?
