Off to College

Jer, feeling mentally and physically exhausted after her first day at the gym, rushes off to college for her first day of classes. As she makes her way across the sprawling campus, she's struck by the sheer diversity of students surrounding her. Some are dressed in casual attire, while others sport more formal or eccentric styles.

In her first class, an introductory psychology course, Jer takes a seat near the back of the lecture hall. She notices a few interesting characters around her. To her left sits a confident-looking young man with a skateboard and piercings, who introduces himself as Max. He immediately strikes up a conversation with Jer, telling her about the local skate scene and some of the bands he's into. Jer senses that Max could be a potential friend, even though they might not share all the same interests.

To her right, Jer spots a stylish girl with brightly colored hair and a penchant for eye-catching accessories. She introduces herself as Luna, an aspiring fashion designer. As they chat, Jer learns that Luna has a flair for the dramatic, and she seems to enjoy pushing the boundaries of conventional style. Jer can't help but wonder if Luna might be open-minded enough to accept her and Nate's secret, should it ever be revealed.

Throughout the day, Jer attends various classes and meets more students, each with their own unique backgrounds and aspirations. She can't help but feel a sense of belonging, even though she's still coming to terms with her own identity.

However, not everyone she encounters is friendly. In her literature class, Jer has a tense encounter with a classmate named Brad, who seems to take an immediate disliking to her. Brad is a tall, athletic-looking guy with a smug expression that rubs Jer the wrong way. She can't quite put her finger on why Brad seems to have it out for her, but she senses that he could become an antagonist in the future.

Throughout the day, Jer's thoughts frequently drift back to Nate and the tender moments they shared. The secret they both carry weighs heavily on her, but she knows she must stay focused on her studies and her new job at the gym. She wonders how Nate is faring at his own college classes and hopes they'll have the opportunity to catch up later that evening.

As the day draws to a close, Jer feels a mixture of excitement and apprehension about the semester ahead. She's made some intriguing new acquaintances and has already encountered challenges, but she remains determined to make the most of her college experience. With the support of Nate and their shared secret, she's ready to face whatever obstacles lie ahead.
