Off-path

Akane tore the map from her hands. “Screw that, I can find my own way. C’mon.” She grabbed Ibuki’s wrist and dragged her into the woods without a word. By the time Ibuki freed herself from the clutch, she was deep into the foliage. “Oi, quit slowin’ us down.”

“A-Akane, I’m… I’m not…” her hand clutched the hem of her skirt. “I’m not sure you should stand there. Poison ivy…”

“Huh?” She looked down. “Nah, this is just a normal plant. C’mon we gotta keep going. I’m starving.”

“Do you even know where we are?” Ibuki whined.

“Tch, yeah. The forest, duh?” She shrugged, before scooping Ibuki into her arms. “No more stalling.” With that, Akane was off once again. Ibuki tried to wiggle free without any success. What must’ve been an hour or two passed without a break.

Finally, they reached a river and Akane stopped for a moment. She set Ibuki down and splashed water on herself. Her white shirt grew transparent and it was well known Akane went braless. Needless to say, Ibuki got an eyeful.

“Yo. This river’s too fast to swim across and it looks pretty deep.” She sighed.
