What Happen's Next?
Off To Work
Currently, Aaron is on his way to Work so while that is happening why don't we get a few things out of the way? I'll try not to keep you long.
For those of you that either don't know or simply do not recall, No Problem, Aaron works for a Company called Omen Enterprises. It is a vast multinational corporation and international partnership of companies run by Project Rising Spirit. Omen Enterprises is also one of the many companies fighting on the frontline against the Superhuman threat Specifically Harbingers which are counted among "The Big Four" (Mutants, MetaHumans, Harbingers, and Ultra-Humans). Harbingers or Psiots as they are sometimes called are Superhumans with highly evolved Psionic Abilities.
They are considered one of the more dangerous forms of Superhuman that have been discovered because of the sheer multitude of abilities that they can possess and because of the difficulty in detecting them. Unlike Mutants and MetaHumans who often exhibit physical mutations that set them apart from the rest of the population, A Harbinger's powers are for the most part Psionic in nature and there is no 100% reliable genetic test for them though Omen has been a major driving **** in the research of Superhuman Abilities and has been key in developing The Detronal Scanner, a handheld device which can read and interpret The Genetic Structure of Living Tissue at Distance.
Omen Enterprises divides it's time between Cutting-Edge Genetic Research, Various Charities, and opposing Toyo Harada, The World's Most Powerful Harbinger and his Harbinger Foundation. To protect it's interests and to fight rogue Harbingers, Omen Enterprises operates it's own private paramilitary rapid response combat strike team known as The H.A.R.D. Corps, Short for Harbinger Active Resistance Division. The H.A.R.D. Corps branch of Omen employs specially-trained exclusively female operatives enhanced by means of psybernetic wetware neural implants that give H.A.R.D. Corps members the ability to imitate a variety of psionic abilities and maintains installations worldwide in its struggle to keep The Harbinger Foundation in check.
Aaron was scouted by Omen Enterprises when he was 15 then recruited at 18 and he has worked there for almost 2 years now. He interns in The R&D Department finding new ways to Detect, Subdue, and Restrain Superhumans. For those of you that are staring at your computer or smart phone screen saying, "What The Fuck?" The irony of the situation is not lost on me. A Young Man who is concerned he may be an as yet undiscovered Superhuman working at a Company that fights and detains them on an almost daily basis... How is that a good idea?
Aaron pondered that very same thought when they first approached him to work for them and he almost turned them down but then he realized that there was no better place for him. Omen is just one of Many Corporations devoted to curbing the rise of Superhumans that choose to use their powers for nefarious purposes instead of the greater good.
It didn't take Aaron long to realize the wisdom in working for Omen. His position would grant him access to the latest technology including the technology of numerous Alien Races whose designs have allowed Aaron to create the unique computer terminal in Knowhere that serves as the hub of his own personal information network. To say nothing of keeping him up on the latest advances in testing for and sniffing out Superhumans. If necessary the knowledge he would gain by working there would allow him to develop countermeasures to the newest tests and of course there is always the possibility that should the dreaded day come that he is confirmed to be a Superhuman, Omen might choose to shield him and offer him sanctuary. It's not unheard of for Companies to employ Superhumans as long as they aren't determined to pose an uncontrollable danger to the public.
For those of you wondering just how a huge Company like Omen Enterprises became aware of Aaron, The answer is simple... They took an interest in Aaron after he took The Helios Test, an automated computer administered Intelligence test. The Helios Test is widely acknowledged as the most accurate measure of innate intelligence. It scores not only mental ability, but the capacity to grasp higher planes of thought which are used to solve the most urgent problems of The World.
Aaron's results caught the eye of Omen after the computer refused to score him. His score was not only inconceivably high but his score was beyond what the machine was programmed to evaluate. This as you can imagine put him on the radar of alot of prestigious companies looking for fresh talent for their R&D Departments.
It was a stupid mistake and Aaron regretted it immediately. Despite his obvious Genius, Aaron sometimes acts impulsively at least when he was younger. He only took the test for fun just to see how high he could score. He treated it no different than a video game but everything worked out in the end... Luckily, with Omen offering him an Employment License and the rest as they say is history.
