The thought of leaving her behind never crossed your mind. You wouldn't leave someone to die like that without at least trying to save them. Besides, you've always had a thing for British girls. "Don't worry Ms. Gable, we are going to get you out." You start looking for your crowbar while motioning over Mills. "Set up a perimeter, this might take a while." Mills salutes and starts putting her people into the best positions for defense. You set to work trying to get the woman free without hurting her any further. It's tough, precise work, and is slow going. The first few hours are quiet.

Then you hear the sound of gunshots, and hear Barnes yell, "Sir, we have company! Bandits, at least four!"

"That's not ideal," LT Gable says, dryly.

"I'm almost done, buy me some time!" you shout to Barnes. Garcia runs over to help fight off the bandits as Mills covers the rear entrance. The sound of gunfire makes it hard to concentrate, but you're so close. You just need one final metal beam out of the way. You ram your crowbar in, and pull with all your weight, but it doesn't budge.

"Ah, well I appreciate the effort, but no sense dying on my account." You hear her but decide to ignore her for now.

"Mills, help," you grunt to your LT and she runs over and adds her strength to yours. Nothing happens. Right when you're about to give up, the metal gives with a loud shriek and slowly starts to bend out of the way. You get just enough so that you can fit the, thankfully slim, woman out. You grab her arm, and you and Mills pull her out of the crash.

"Thank you. I thought I was done for," she says, tears in her eyes.

"We aren't out of this yet," yoh point out, handing her your sidearm. "Garcia, Barnes, we are out of here!" The five of you run further into the building, away from the gunfire. You have to support the weakened Gable. You can hear the bandits shouting. Rushing out the back exit, you lead your group in a wide circle around the bandits as you circle back to your home base. Caution thrown to the wind, you prioritize speed, trying to lose the bandits in the maze of buildings. As you approach your home, the British pilot collapses, and, without breaking stride, you pick her up and run the remaining distance to safety. You marvel at how much your strength and stamina has grown over the last weeks.

Allen and Foreman are standing guard while Zack holds open the door, and the five of you collapse onto the floor of the lobby, breathless. Zhang rushes to your side. "Sir, are you alright?" Panting, you point at Gable, and Zhang checks her out, motioning Allen and Zack to help carry her up to the makeshift infirmary. Foreman rushes to your side with a glass of water, which you gratefully drink. It takes some time to catch your breath. When you do, you tell your story to the people gathered in the lobby, what seems like half the building at this point, finishing with your daring escape from the bandits. When you're finally able to escape from more questions, you get back to your room and get yourself a nice, cleansing shower.
