Do they get around to planning the playdate?

Of course they do! This is high priority!

Upon hearing that her son had made friends with a girl his age, Mrs. Naegi did what most mothers do and decided to meet her parents and set up a playdate. The moms of the children got along well, and they decided that after school in the near future would be the first of (hopefully many) such occasions. But before that, Makoto actually had to get to school.

"Komaru, let go of my leg!"

The youngest Naegi was clinging to her brother's leg, still remembering what her mom said about Kindergarten.

"No! Don't go to Kindergarten! Mama said it was a monster!"

"I told you it was a school!"

"Then don't go to school! Stay here with me!"

"I can't!"

"Komaru, let go of your brother's leg."

With her daughter not responding, Mrs. Naegi was **** to get physical, picking up the two-year-old and disconnecting her from Makoto.

"There we go, now get to the bus, Mako-kun."

After school, Makoto got home and played with Komaru. They had a shared toybox, and the two played together more often than not. A ring of the doorbell interrupted playtime however...

"Ooh! That must be them!"

Mrs. Naegi practically skipped to answer the door. Opening to find two blue-haired women, one Mrs. Naegi's age, and one Makoto's.

"I've been looking forward to this, come in. This must be Sayaka-chan. Makoto was right, you are cute."

The Naegi siblings had the same reaction for different reasons. Makoto blushed because he never said Sayaka was cute (even if he thought so) and didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about their relationship. Komaru blushed as part of an angry pout that her onii-chan had called another girl cute.

After introductions, Mrs. Maizono left to run some errands while Sayaka made her way over to the siblings next to their toybox. Smiling at Makoto, she spoke in a voice that would one day belong to the world's most cherished idol.

"Hi, Makoto-kun, I'm really glad I could come. Are these your toys?"

"Yeah... Well, some of them are Komaru's, but we share them all."

"This is amazing! I don't have nearly this many toys at my house...but I'm an only child, so I probably don't need that many."

"What do you want to play first, Sayaka?"

Sweeping her gaze across the various toys, Sayaka thought about what she wanted to play with Makoto...
